@John Surrey , That Chelsea performance was dire T, Silva his legs have gone, but he was probably your best defender (not saying a lot), I really don't know where Poch goes from here rip it all up and start over again.. sign players he want's not who the owners want but you have expensive players on long contracts, the club is in a mess...

If we're having anyone back it would be Conte for me - not sure he'd fit in with the current structure though :D

Amazing on how the upper "management" rewards success with summary dismissal.

    Amazing Chelsea tonight.
Villa didn't stand much of a chance.
Great play, they actually played as a team. If they continue like tonight, there won't be much of a problem playing Leeds.

But then again, I learnt that 1 swallow doesn't make a summer..

Ps. I didn't know they had it in them.. Must be something in the water at Villa Park..

A fine performance against Villa in FA Cup, just what we needed - would like to see them start more often without Silva.

Beat me to it by a second or two!

Brilliant free kick by Enzo too :like:

Chalk and Cheese, Sunday and tonight, Villa never in it, still think the Chelsea right back and Jackson not up to Chelsea standard but otherwise Chelsea played very well, the right winger had the Villa left back on toast every time he ran at him, Enzo a brilliant free kick, sorry I'm not familiar with some of the Chelsea names.

Understandable given the only player left from the team last night, that won the Champion's League in 2021 (sorry @Jim :D) was Chilwell !

How times have changed.... anyway yeah he ran him ragged, name is Madueke!

Mrs Siilva wrote on social media things needed to change at Chelsea,so it did, they dropped her husband and Chelsea won!
Saw the first half, two very good goals.

Let's hope he sticks to being assistant coach on the bench - seems to be what he's angling for.

Probably a good game for the neutral - in the last 20 minutes of normal play Chelski were on top... extra time and we fell asleep. Very disappointing to lose it in the last few minutes, a penalty shoot out and it's 50:50

Neither team really deserved to win it or lose it... for a period it would be the dippers then us etc.

Rent-a-gob Gary Neville appeared to have written his report before the match was played:

"You can lose any game but you can't shrink like that when Liverpool had five kids on the pitch... Klopp's kids against the blue billion-pound bottle-jobs" what a load of tosh... then again, what can you expect from the rags, still living in their glory days

We all remember "Jim'll Fix It"

    Look how that turned out!

    :D

You got a funny rating as there isn’t a bitter and funny rating!
As Mr Hansen once said “ you can’t win anything with kids”
It appears Liverpool took a lesson out of the Mighty Manchester United’s book and did win something with kids, mind you they were only playing Chelski, Todd needs to manage the team better.

Apparently the result of the carabao cup may be overturned as 5 of the Liverpool side tested positive for Calpol

    Renta-a-gob-Gary-Neville:

“I feel bad now,” he said. “I’m not going to sit here and say it was an instinctive commentary moment. It was instinctive because I didn’t know what was going to happen in extra-time...

Wot a tosser, he's worse than Garth Crooks...

The difference between the two sides was basically down to a great header by Virgil van Dijk's, a giant of a player for the dippers, a few minutes before the end of extra time.

If anything, what extra time really underlined is that Liverpool in contrast to Chelski have a core of strength within their team and leaders, like VVD in their team, who are capable of raising everyone's game when it matters - Absolutely F-all to do with who had 5 kids or 6 kids playing at the end...

Chelski have never replaced the likes of John Terry, Frank Lampard et al. and the same could be said for Manure... where's Roy Keane, Paul Schole, Gary Neville etc...

What's even worse for Chelski is, with the exception of Gallagher, our new shoot from the hip American owners got rid of all our academy talent to balance the books for Financial Fair Play a few days after they bought some very overpriced/overrated wonder boys.
