Welcome Leonard Peterson! Just enjoy what you are having now....friendship will lead into love in the right time. it's important to build the foundation first tend everything will follow. We filipinas like get together if there's chance after busy long days of work.
Just enjoy her company! he introduced to her friends and family bcoz she want them to know you better as well. Good luck to both of you! It will definitely lead the way in the right time.

I dunno. When I read about all the supposed courtship rituals that apparently go with meeting a Filipina, I'm glad I never had to go through all that stuff.

I met someone I really got on with. We went out together, albeit at long distance fr a while. And then got married. Even though the visas and the distance were a bit of an effort, the relationship itself certainly wasn't.

I think if I'd been confronted with chaperones, family expectations, games with friends and so on I would have thought 'sod this for a game of soldiers' and left well alone!

Well, to tell you straight, that's the Filipino way of scrutinizing you, make you feel comfortable and rate you secretly
I hope you will still enjoy , and feel relax after knowing this .

If you reach the point when the relationship gets deeper, you are spared with the visa application process coz she's already here, at least! ;)

    Yes.
I don't think we have seen a British man meeting a Filipina in England on this forum yet but I could be mistaken.

You're right regarding the visa stuff. That's been completely taken cared of now.
I want to continue starting off as being a good friend to her and would like to really know her more before going on to the next level.
For Filipinas, what's the normal time it takes for someone to actually go out on a "first date"? I've heard in some scenarios, it works in phases. First, it normally involves going out with their friends and/or family members. Next it could involved friends again or maybe a first date? I asked a couple of my friends who are involved with a Filipina girl that it took them between 4-9 months just to earn themselves a date. Is that quite normal? For my situation my Filipina friend and I communicate everyday. So any sort of feedback or ideas what to expect would help. Thanks

It would depend upon the person, really. Just try to show how much she means to you or better yet just 'go with the flow' and don't rush things.
