Thank you, huge relief, horrible process to go through to be together, still at the start of the journey, got the FLR to go through yet but the visa makes to all possible now, huge relief. Never doubted it would be granted but spent everyday doubting lol

Wow very comprehensive list. It would certainly help a lot of newbies navigate through this maze.

Its worth noting that most of the guys here are very much involved with the visa application of their partners. My husband has left everything to me. If you ask him, he'd have no idea of the fine prints involved in this one.

Thank you, it is the details that drive you mad not knowing, just thought would provide a bit of a breakdown, knowledge is power!

I don't think Tina could of taken the lead on the application even though it is in her name the majority of evidence relates to me, she has had to do all the travelling instead!

Hey, congrats on getting the visa!

How long did you have to wait for them to make a decision?

Thanks for the congratulations everyone :)

It took 32 working days to get the decision. They posted "door to door" but the delivery company decided they couldn't deliver as its too far! They also didn't bother to give us that information so on the tracking it was just stuck at the depot and after a few days on contacting them they informed us it wasn't going anywhere. Tina had to do an 8 hour round bus trip to get it. It was also at a different depot than stated on the tracking and the receptionist argued for half an hour that she couldn't track the number as it wasn't in their format. Nightmare!

Tell us about it! I wanted to teach them how to do their job better since i used to be in the same industry. Mine was stuck in davao city for a few days before it was forwarded to my city (no one from their customer service can explain to me why they didnt fly it to my city when we have a domestic airport when there are three daily flights).

While process has been painful, so many pitfalls and unknowns. Last hurdle done today with the CFO and flight booked :)

I would like to take Tina to France on the 10th of March to see my Dad who lives there. Can she travel on the fiancee visa to Europe?

Yes she is not allowed to travel with you freely in the EU. If she is already on spouse visa she can get the Schengen Visa for free but since she is still on fiance visa you will have to apply for that. Maybe do that whilst she is still in the Philippines.
