    Hi guys,

We're due to submit our FLR(M) application next month using the premium service and we think (hope!) we've everything we need in terms of documents almost ready (just another payslip and bank statement to go).

So far, here are the documents we are preparing to submit:

    - Sponsor's covering letter.
    - Sponsor's parents' letter of support.
    - Applicant's and sponsor's passports.
    - Applicant's passport sized photo (signed on reverse) (x2)
    - Sponsor's passport sized photo (signed on reverse) (x1)
    - Applicant's birth certificate.
    - Sponsor's birth certificate.
    - Our marriage certificate from the Philippines.
    - Applicant's Grade 2 (CEFR Level A1) in English Speaking and Listening test certificate (issued April 2016).
    - Sponsor's employment contract.
    - Letter from sponsor's employer confirming start date, position, salary, authenticity of payslips etc.
    - Sponsor's payslips covering the 8 months prior to the application.
    - Sponsor's P60 covering the 2015 to 2016 tax year.
    - Sponsor's bank statements covering the 8 months prior to the application in line with the provided payslips.
    - Letters and correspondence (x12) addressed to the applicant from 4 different sources spread over the 2 year period prior to the application (bank statements, NHS appointment letters, HMRC letters).
    - Letters and correspondence (x7) addressed to the sponsor from 4 different sources spread over the 2 year period prior to the application (bank statements, pension statements, credit card statements).
    - Letters and correspondence (x5) addressed jointly to the applicant and sponsor from (3) different sources spread over the 1 year period prior to the application (bank statements, solicitor's letter).
    - Tenancy agreement.
    - Property inspection report.
    - Rent statement.
    - Council tax bill.
    - Utility bills.

We've also prepared copies of all of the above to be submitted in a separate wallet/folder along with the originals.

The living arrangements are somewhat complicated by the fact that me and the missus plan to move within a few months of hopefully getting the new VISA into our own home (currently living with parents until we can furnish our house we recently bought). We plan to include the bills, utilities and other proof of our new joint responsibilities as additional evidence with our application.

At the moment, living with parents, the household utilities and bills etc. are not in our names and I've explained this in my covering letter along with our intention to move to our new home when it's ready.

Honestly, this is a bit of a worry , but we hope the case worker will understand that there are times in people's lives when things are changing and that this new chapter for us just happened to coincide with our FLR(M) application.

So, do you think with all of the above there should be enough there to support our application?
    Did we miss anything?
Is it correct that level A1 in speaking and listening is still OK for our application next month?
Do we need to include any photos of us together?

Any input or advice is much appreciated.

    Cheers,
    John

we are applying for flr (m) on wednesday--in person at UKVI croydon. the questions as regards our accommodation are far simpler than the fiancee visa app---so we havent included any tenancy agreement--simply because i am now out of contract !.. i'm buying a place and expect to be moved by the end of july.

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the bump, but we've been completing the application form v04/16 for our impending FLR(M) application appointment (next week!) and was hoping someone might be able to clarify some parts.

    On page 11, Q2.3 states:
My wife entered the UK on a spouse visa and now we're applying for further leave to remain, so for the above, which is the appropriate answer? I would've thought it was (a) as this is the first time we've applied for FLR, but why does it mention "6 months" at the end?

On page 47, Q9.15 asks for
How should we answer this question? My wife did apply for her current spouse visa from the Philippines at VFS, which is the answer we gave to Q9.14, so not sure what to put for this one...

Hope someone who's completed the application before can help with the above - it'd be much appreciated!

Its been a while since asawa done hers but...

If this is your first FLR then its A. The question applies for both Spouse and Fiancee visa thats why it says the 6 months on the second option of the question. (The wording of that question has changed slightly since we done FLR)

I'd put British Embassy Manila rather than VFS for that.

Hi HaloHalo and thanks for the help!

I'll put "British Embassy Manila" for Q9.15 as you're right that's probably what they are referring to. For Q9.14 it asks where the fingerprints were taken and these was actually at VFS. Hopefully these answers can be clarified if needed as we'll be using the premium service next week.

I'll be sure to post back on our experience...fingers crossed.

Miss or Ms. if applying in your maiden name and Mrs if you're using your husband's surname in your passport.

The marriage certificate is the most important document to show you were married, we didn't submit any wedding pictures with the FLR application.

This is our 1st FLR M 6 months is pretty tight for more joint mail, i read that it's not so essential when applying for first FLR M after marriage settlement visa...
