its 6 pieces of mail to you both jointly or 6 each to each of you or a combination of both. heres the rules on the flr (m) PDF Your relationship Six items of correspondence addressed to you and your partner at the same address as evidence that you have been living together since your last grant of leave in this category, or from the date you first started living together up to a maximum of two years. See Note 11. FLR(M) Version 04/16 Page 63 of 76 6 Note 11 The items of correspondence should be addressed to you jointly or in both your names. Examples of acceptable items are listed below. The documents provided must be originals. Photocopies are not acceptable. The dates of the items of correspondence should be spread evenly over the whole 2 years. They should be from at least 3 different sources. If you do not have enough items in your joint names, you may also provide items addressed to each of you individually if they show the same address for both of you. For example - Four items of correspondence in joint names to the same address and two items addressed to each partner at the address. In total eight items would need to be submitted. If you and your partner have no bills or correspondence in joint names, you will need to submit twelve items (six each) of correspondence, evidencing that you reside together at the same address. If you and your partner lived with relatives or friends for some or all of the 2-year period, please provide a letter from the relative(s) and/or friend(s) confirming this. If you did not live together for any part of the 2-year period, tell us the reasons for this and whether you stayed in contact with each other during this time, and provide any relevant supporting evidence. Please give an explanation on a separate sheet if you cannot provide six items; if the items are not addressed to both of you; or if they do not cover the 2-year period. Examples of acceptable items of correspondence • Letters or other documents from government departments or agencies, for example HM Revenue and Customs, Department for Work and Pensions, DVLA, TV Licensing. • Letters or other documents from your GP, a hospital or other local health service about medical treatments, appointments, home visits or other medical matters • Bank statements/letters • Building society savings books/letters • Council tax bills or statements • Electricity and/or gas bills or statements • Water rates bills or statements • Mortgage statements/agreement • Tenancy agreement(s) • Telephone bills or statements FLR(M) Version 04/16 Page 64 of 76
We haven't had a last grant of leave, this is the 1st grant of leave we are applying for , from fiancée visa 6 months now applying for FLR M first time, we only gotten married on the 4th of July very difficult to get all that joint mail in short time, we have one joint two for me and my husband 4.
yes--i know its a problem--but you do need more mail. according to the flr app form--you can have more than one from the same sender. ( maybe 2 bank statements for instance.) get your water and energy bills changed over to joint accounts--and ask for a letter addressed to you both.. also--your council tax bill will have to be in joint names now. what about letters and documents about your wedding--any in joint names ? i'm not trying to make your life difficult--but it is your money !
I think bigmac is right. Contact your electric/water board. They should change it there and then with a fone call, then get them to send an estimate or even a resend of the last bill. It is a requirement and proof of cohabitation.
Problem with is the flat water and electricity is all inclusive with the rent as we all share in the flat, already have the council tax joint, just hope what I got is good enough as there's really nothing else i can join together with...
If you are struggling with joint letters then it would be better if you explain as you have in your above post on the blank page on the application. Better to give the UKVI an explanation than just not submitting enough letters.
I agree, a couple of sentences given as an explanation could save a whole lot of heartache and hassle.
who is this WE who all share the flat ? has your accommodation circumstances changed since you got the visa ? i'm thinking overcrowding.
It's a big house divided into 4 flats it's not over crowded we have our own kitchen bathroom bedroom living room ect.
Our application was successful, they took everything except the wedding photos, the correspondence evidence was accepted joint bank statement and council tax with bother our names,4 letters addressed for him 5 for me, many thanks for your guidance and advice!!
They didn't take our photos, but I recommend just bring them to make sure.. everything looks good pretty much you have everything
