    Welcome to the Forum, ILeifz.

I am not an expert on such matters but I do believe that you most certainly can marry your lady in the United Kingdom but you and she will be subject to the same Visa requirements as would apply if you were a British citizen. In other words you will need to prove that you have adequate accommodation, that your relationship is lasting and that your earnings are at least £18,600 a year, among others - the exact requirements are contained within a number of posts on this Forum and are published on the UK Borders Agency web site.

The UK Fiancée Visa is neither particularly easy to obtain nor is it inexpensive and the cost, along with all other Visa types and Consular Services is set to rise as from 6th April. You may find it much easier (and cheaper!) to bring her to Latvia, marry her there and once she has a residency permit, you can bring her to the UK under the EU Family Permit scheme.

I see. Was she forced out by the typhoon damage?

I have been to Boracay which is an island of the NW West coast there, west of Kalibo.

If I may correct this last statement.

If you are a resident in the UK, you can apply under the normal EU channel.

You could get married in Pinas, return to the UK, and then apply for a EU Family Permit from the British Embassy in Manila, going through the VFS centre.

    http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/eucitizens/documents-family/

    http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/eucitizens/eea-family-permit/

As a European citizen exercising your rights of free movement, the Family permit will be issued with no problem, As it is a right and not a privilege.

There is no charge at this moment for a Family Permit, but the residence card and permanent residence card will attract a small fee of £55.

I take this opportunity to welcome you on the Forum.

But what happened if I not earn £ 18.600 in year?

Ideally you could marry her in Phil, with all her family there, she will be extremely happy.
After the wedding you can return to the UK, and start the process of gathering all the documents needed for a successful application.
I am not at this moment sure if the £18.600 income does apply in this instance of a European Application, but I will make some enquiries and come back to you on that, sometime.
It sis not difficult, just time consuming, but the beauty is that it is free of charge................

    .

Just the printed log of the various chats will be enough.
What you need is proof of personal contact, photos of you two together, Boarding card stubs, plane tickets, hotel receipts, etc, etc.

It is not an interview, as such. Just to give the various documents in, take fingerprints, digital photograph. Nothing serious, just boring, but it is done by appointment now.
So one can plan ahead, and book flights if needed and the hotel for the night before.

This hotel is only 5/10 minutes walk from the VFS building

Ah yes, of course, thanks for correcting me! But then, in a slightly later reply:

Surely none of that applies in the case of a Family Permit, does it? Surely all he needs to demonstrate is that he is a "qualified Person" - ie has a National Insurance Number, proof of employment and salary, and, proof of adequate accommodation?

Were you to visit the Philippines in any month other than December, you could get married within the 30 day period, but not I fear in December due to the fact that government offices will be closed for more days that month than any other.

Well not directly, no. VFS/UKBA will require the NSO version of your Marriage Certificate. The NSO - National Statistical Office - is the government department that records all births, deaths and marriages and their Certificates will not be available for anything up to 2 months , depending on how conscientious is the local Registrar.

VFS is a local commercial company that has the Philippine franchise to accept and check Visa applications on behalf of UKBA.

A course of anti-Tetanus inoculations would be a good idea unless you are already up to date with those.

The £18,600.00 minimum income rule doesn’t apply if you follow the EEA route.

I strongly recommend you consider this route for your girlfriends visa, she would almost instantly qualify if you were to marry in the Philippines and then bring her to the UK.

You do need to be self sufficient, in a job or in education (but have savings) to qualify. But you would qualify even if you earned the minimum wage and lived in a small bedsit.

Just ensure you provide the UK Border Agency with evidence of your legal residence with utility bills, council tax bill (or letter from your local council advising you’re exempt if you’re a student) and your tenancy agreement/letter from the landlord advising they don’t have a problem with your wife living with you.

This might seem a lot of evidence, but you probably have almost all of it right now.

    Thanks guys for advice here.

Then I should to choice other month for visiting there. But I think flight there before Xmas and back January.Maybe should to visit her January or November.Yes look like not so easy.

OKi if I understand everything well I visiting my girlfriend and we spend time together and take pictures too where we both. Then we could to get married if my girlfriend get marriage certificate. And it seems we get married under Philippines lows.
And then I come back to the UK and then I can to apply all for the Visa?Uhmm in my gear is mess now and need so much to do before I visit her there in the Philippines. And yes I never been outside EU and it will be my first trip.
I apply in the UKBA for the Visa then I am back to UK?

But how I can get this Anti-Tetanus if I no one time been to doctor here in UK?OKi I go to local Medical clinic and will know it.
