And to meet you Peter I origionaly intended to spend ever increasing amounts of time here when I first came over in 08 but now our plan is to get the family back to Portugal at the end of summer and live there my personal view having spent a lot of time here talking with folk and on local forums is that the Phils without radical change is going to get even harder for local folk and that will translate to us guys as well at many different levels. So I expect to visit for short holidays but the idea of retirement here for me is gone Portugal is a much better option I.M.H.O.

Sorry Al, no I don't. We are planning to move to Philippines 'soon' and I was just interested to find others who had made the move. I've done plenty of research, but that is nothing compared to actually doing it. When I first decide to move I was full of excitment and enthusiasm, but just lately I've had some doubts especially concerning medical issue. I'm not getting any younger
