Im probably missing something really obvious here but if she is still technically married in the Phils then surely her passport and any other documents will clearly reflect that ?

TBH i hadnt thought of that. but my wifes fili passport is still in her previously married name. it doesnt expire till 2019. shes not planning to change it--or give notice of marriage--or change BRP till then.

just my thinking--but if Mrs Henry has no plans to live in the filis again--is there a problem ? her divorce--and subsequent marriage will be recognised every where else but the filis. and if the couple dont intend to apply for settlement in the UK--even less of a problem.

Your Wife has gone through the Anulment process so is legally entitled to have all Phils docs in her new married name.

I just don't understand how a divorce in another country will have any effect on the aboves marital status ? Until annulment in the Phils she will always be married.

Well..my wife got divorced in the UK...so that was sure valid here...that was 2 years before her annulment. I know we could have got married in..say..hong Kong...but for various reasons at the time it wasnot on for me. The only real reason she got the annulment was so she would get through the cfo nonsense.

do my gf need to get the annulment to get this cfo i have checked with the lawyer in sing and the devorce will be ok for uk and we will be able to remarry but the gf still needs the annulment from phil which should not take long due to he needs to sign papers stating that he will not object to my gf applying to devorce him plus she is handing him the house over to him on the grounds that he will not interfer with her plans for devorce then anulment and he will not be allowed to sale the house whilst the children are there so they will have a roof over their heads until they are at the age to leave home

Legal agreements created and executed in one jurisdiction - Singapore - may not carry any legal weight in another, namely the Philippines. I have a feeling that the husband will be demanding a higher price if he's to agree to an annulment as the grounds for it are not exactly flattering. Your Singapore lawyer will not be able to handle the annulment which will still cost you several thousand pounds and take two or three years to obtain - if you decide to go ahead with it but that's a decision for your partner to make as it affects her relationship with her home country, her children and her property.

her children are ok with it plus he has already asked her for the house for the children but the gf was refusing him the house as she told him she wants to sale it i have spent a long time talking to her about this and letting the house go as if that is all he wants then do it so now she has agreed to do it plus these papers need to be noterized in phil to go back to sing for the lawyer

The SG lawyer can not handle the Anullment it has to be a Phils Lawyer.

Have you not realized you will be paying twice for the same outcome ??

The annulment is a divorce, she is then free.

ok--you have now established that a SG divorce will be recognised in the UK--which means pretty well anywhere in the world ==except the filis. so that means UKVI HAVE TO ACCEPT IT as valid should your future wife decide to apply for UK settlement..FROM SG.
    however
if she decides--now--to live in the filis--and apply from there--she WILL need an anullment to get the CFO certificate
(which is what we did ---my g/f divorced her fili husband whilst in the UK--all legal and official --then applied for annulment to make life simple ))

frankly--with what i know now---if i where in your shoes i would operate from SG and forget the filis.

Either you or the attorney is misunderstanding something. If your gf is divorced in Singapore and applies for a visa in Singapore she will not require an abullment in the Philippines. It is nonsense to suggest that you need both for UK visa issuance. You categorically do not.
