I have no experience of this. We completed FLR just before the IHS was in force. I think somebody mentioned previously that they needed a refund because their visa failed. Maybe they will respond to your question.
Hello Sheryl. Here's the info I found from the UKVI website: If you paid the healthcare surcharge twice If you paid the healthcare surcharge from inside the UK, request a refund using the payment service you used to make your first payment. For further info, here is the link https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application/refunds
Nice to see you again Anne We got our FLR just days before the new IHS came in. Its not required for ILR so we got away with it. Did you see the post about the English test on here a few days ago. It seems to state that expired tests are still allowed in ongoing settlement visas. One world posted about it, have a look and see if you read it the same way as me
I was browsing on my phone earlier Anne. Here is the link which I thought interesting in regards to existing English test requirements. I hope I'm reading it right and that it would allow for a previously expired test to be utilised going forward. The assumption is that the expired test would still have to be listed of course (I think). http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...ses-not-valid-from-nov-2015.10999/#post-86720 I'd of thought it would have generated a bit more interest here on BF too, but apparently not.
The way the NHS surcharge is paid changed a few weeks ago. You now pay the NHS surcharge together with the Visa application, whereas before you paid them separately. The problem arises if you started the visa application online before the new way of paying for the NHS surcharge but submitted the application AFTER the new way of paying was introduced. My wife was in this situation so we just delayed submitting the on-line application until the new payment system was introduced but it meant starting the visa application on-line again and discarding the application she had already started. BUT YOU MUST NOT DO THIS IF, LIKE IN YOUR CASE, THE APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED AND PAID FOR. You will just have to pay the NHS surcharge a second time and then claim a refund.
Yes, Anne, I saw that and we have no choice we pay it again, and trying to book an appointment in the premium service before my visa expire which is this August 3.
Its really confusing, it looks like they are always changing. my husband already pissed of this,, as what other always says No Choice. So now we are much in a hurry to book an appointment which is the available day is the day my visa going to expires. Hope there is no problem on that day to apply my FLR the same day my VISA expired.
