    Hello again BFers, Im just back a week now from 4 glorious weeks in General Santos but now its back to reality and Im preparing to attack Fiance/settlement Visa No2 since our refusal last year. Forgive me for probably looking very daft but I cant get my head around one statement in the guidelines, here it is ...................
    'The 6 month period, or the most recently dated part of it, must be dated no earlier than 28days before the date of application' .............
    Does this mean that I have to wait for one month from the date of my last bank statement and wage slip before lodging the application? or perhaps it means that my documents can be no older than 28days?

    Fank yoooooo , Paddy ....... :confused::confused::confused:

    The opposite Paddy, you need to get your bank statements/payslips in before they are 28 days old.

    If you don't ask you don't find out, myself and many others here have asked lots of silly questions during our visa applications, even if you're sure of something and just need something clarifying its always worth an ask.

    Good luck with the application Paddy, all will be well :)

    Yeah good luck. As above this means that the most recent payslips, bank statements etc should be dated no older than 28 days before you fully submit the application online (the application date).

    Again Im still learning! .. Agreed that is a good point but im sure most people on BF are raring to go the next day to VFS after completing the online application ... Waiting is not an option for the folks on BF, they are straight to VFS faster than a ferret with Nikes on ... :lol:

    That is very true, once the online application in submitted you're then biting at the bit to submit your other paperwork at the VFS office.

    so long as your application is straightforward----any complications will slow it down. member here @ross mastin has just applied using this--it will be interesting to see the time line.

    Yes I have learnt the hard way but at least I know from my refusal last time that it was only the financials that didnt meet the requirements which admittedly when I reviewed them were a mess ... All other requirements were met so I am confident this time that I can fix it and give them only and exactly what is required .. roll on May for reapplication! ....................
    And Ill be watching @ross mastin's progress with the premium service, should be interesting indeed so good luck @ross mastin ...

    The premium service is definitely the way to go, only a couple of weeks of pain instead of a couple of months or more.
