RIP Motty. I much preferred the commentaries of Barry Davis and Ken Wolstenholme and all the newer commentators. Motty was too statistics-oriented for me and his preferred style of using too many facts rather than talking about the game drove me to distraction. Time moved on. He did seem like a nice man, though.
Agreed Barry Davis was far more listenable, although Motty was a voice of my youth I think I outgrew him.
