I see little Timmy is harping on about Mrs May having a large majority and it will be bad for the country, if that's what the country votes for then so be it.

The only people to blame for a large Tory majority are the opposing parties who are moaning about it including ginger nut himself.

Until the opposition can provide credible alternatives, you can't blame the majority for voting Better the Devil You Know.

Maybe Mr Farron has an opinion about the huge majority Labour enjoyed back in 1997? Was that bad for the country?

Quite simply Mrs May just took advantage and if any of the other leaders say they wouldn't have done the same then I would call them liars.

I think its good she will have a large majority after the GE especially with what's going on at the moment with the name calling, English isn't as important as it once was EU.

At least May will be able to say she has been elected :)

Well, the people of Woodbridge have spoken, and this is what they said:

Turnout: 47% ( highest in the county)
Caroline Page, Liberal Democrat, 51%, up from 42% last time.
    Stephen Attwell, Tory, 30%
    Labour 9%
    Green: 7%
    UKIP : 2%

And so as we must listen to the elected voice of Woodbridge as a democratic society we must listen to the collective voice of the people.

Another totally unnecessary jab at the UK from that pompous Eurocrat. Keep it up, Juncker, you're ensuring a landslide victory for a bloody difficult woman with whom EU will have no choice but to negotiate with in a few short weeks. Unlike you, she will be elected and have a substantially large mandate.

Your turnout was, I believe, one of the highest of the day.

Its all getting a little petulant in my view, hard to see any progress at all being made in the negotiations the way both sides are playing up.

If no deal can be reached and we crash out of the negotiations that will be fine as far as I'm concerned but it certainly will not please everyone.

That anti-English, pro-French comment by Juncker was also a well placed attempt to hijack French patriotism before their upcoming election.

Every patriotic Frenchman likes a good dig at "les Rosbifs" and their language.

Your statement sums up the whole issue Andrew.
    • The British people don't want to be part of an undemocratic EU Empire (Reich) ,
    • Treated as one European people (Volk),
    • Led by the Germans (Fuhrer).
