Sorry the spelling is atrocious, I just noticed it.

Thanks for that. My wage slips and bank statements are electronic anyway. Even in original format - I was thinking of getting them stamped accompanied by a letter stating the fact they are genuine. Now I'm just a little nervous as what to do. Congratulations by the way for your visa. I'm so nervous about the visa it's been 6 months already since I last saw my wife I didn't realise how difficult it could be. I just want to get the application right before sending to get s rejection would be terrible

Personally I would order back statements from the bank and switch setting to paper statements. Then call the bank to ensure you get them monthly.

On the subject of bank statements, would downloaded and printed from my online bank account be acceptable? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Hello everyone and thank you Cha for your very informative post. I'm sure i'll often be referring to it in the coming weeks/months as my wife will be applying for a spouse visa at the end of March.

Getting some good tips from this thread already. My payslips are electronic so I've only got print-offs that I've done myself, I'll hopefully get them stamped or verified somehow from my employer.

Is my P60 essential for the application? I think they're not issued until around mid April and we were hoping to apply when I've completed 6 months employment (end of March). I've only been working in UK since the end of September '15 after spending several years in the Philippines.

    Thanks in advance guys...

Hi Cha, quick question, see when you were leaving the Philippines, was there any other fees to pay for exit? My wife was saying there is an Exit Clearance fee to pay or something because we have a baby (the baby has british passport). Do you know anything about this? Thank you for your post by the way, I am sure it helped out a lot of people on this site. We are still waiting for our visa to be granted. Paid online form on the 1st March, wife done all the bio/documents on the 8th March, so hopefully it wont be too long now.

Hi @bobby! Please see this thread as it may be related to your question (http://www.british-filipino.com/index.php?threads/emigration-exit-clearance.12451/). I am not very familiar with it but the others in the thread may be able to answer your questions.

yeah, i have read that thread, the other day, it could be related to it, not really a lot to go on there. No word of visa yet, maybe when it does arrive it will all be clearer. Think I have paid enough fees lol

Hi Cha! Did you also pay for Insurance health charge when you had your online application? And how much?

yes, you pay that also when you are submitting the form, I think I paid 600 for it, plus the application fee. make sure your wife has a list of everything you need and prepare it first, because when you apply it is only a matter of days when they respond and book your wife the appointment.

it takes about 5 weeks if you are successful. when wife has visa it will have an active date (eg 18th August) she will need to sit a CFO exam, (you can book her in anytime) when she receives the certificate, she will have to collect the CFO sticker once the active date on her visa begins. Best of luck mate. :)

Hi cha just a quick inquiry. Me and my wife who is a British citizen got married in pampanga last May by a judge in court justice. We've got the authenticated married certificate from NSO. We've got the wedding pictures with my family but that's all we have as we are planning to do the big wedding once we settle down in the uk if we given a chance to get the visa. I've got my wife's payslips and bank statements from November 2015 until November 2016. I just arrived last night from working onboard ferry in the uk. I have an ielts scheduled on the 15th. I've got my wife's letting agreement, proof of billing like water and electricity bills, employment certificates, car ownership certificate, tickets etc, pictures together, letter of history of relationship that both of us have, her passport copy, divorce decree as she was married before and deed of change name and birth certificate but it's in Spanish as my wife is a Mexican born. Is there anything I'm missing? And regarding the communication logs, I have printed out a copy of our fb messenger chats and took a screenshots of whatsapp chats and printed some copies. Please let me know what I'm missing..thank you in advance
