Quick question do these tests have an expiry date I'm trying to get everything done that I can for my girlfriend and getting this done before hand would be good

IELTS test ( taken outside the UK ) is valid for 2 years.

she will also need a TB test ( X ray ) -this is only valid for 6 months.

I am in a panic mode at the moment... test date for A2 in Belfast is Oct, 12, 2019 and my visa expires on October 30, 2019.
Or I fly to Edinburgh on September 28 (test date) means spend more money but can't get an appointment time yet unless I pay first argggh! Just planning to stay within a day in Edinburgh fly in the morning and go home evening time.

I know... last minute again! I missed the September one. You see I live in Northern Ireland and the only testing centre is in Belfast.

We unofficially had result at test centre on the day in cardiff last year but took a bit of time for certificate to appear in the post last year. Unfortunately need the certificate for visa application.

i'm surprised ielts dont offer an on the day decision option. for an additional fee obviously. cant miss a trick to squeeze another drop of blood out of the hapless applicant. nothing like having a monopoly to exploit the victims.

Evidence For tests taken on or after 6 April 2015, applicants do not need to supply any evidence of the English language test-instead they must provide a unique reference number (URN). The URN is in the following format:•XXX/123456/123456/123456789whichconsists of the:eek:first 3letters of the SELT provider’s nameodate of testotest centre number ocandidate number

    https://assets.publishing.service.g...attachment_data/file/751976/KoLL-v21.0ext.pdf

All of this information is supplied with the Exam report supplied by (in this case trinity) on the day of the test my reading of the above is you dont need the Certificate just the URN from the info on the exam report

You can also verify this info on line here for trinity from the account you created when booking the test

SWMBO had to upload her IELTs certificate when applying for the FLR(M) but I believe the result is already available to the government.

I am just wondering if anyone has had their language test cancelled due to the corona virus in the UK or elsewhere. This could have an impact on visa application or renewal I guess.
