Forgot to say Hi, KwT! You made no mention of the CFO Seminar, which is a requirement for your wife to leave the Philippines.
You mentioned "Next step is to get her passport" that's after her English test, was it not a requirement that we got to have passport before taking the test? or was it just an IELTS procedure back then?just wanted to know.
Thanks for your message. I was wondering about the bank statements... I'm retired but also self employed.. the sponsor financial requirements ask about my income for the last financial year i.e. 2014/15. The evidence for this is obviously bank statements.. I was hoping the downloaded PDF statements generated by the bank would be sufficient (they are all headed with the bank logo and details etc.. perhaps I need to get these all authorised with an official stamp.
Some banks won't stamp on-line statements and some banks cannot issue full statements from their branches. But I think all banks will send out historic statements by post and also interim statements, if needed, so that you can comply with the rule that documents must not be more than 28 days old when the application is submitted.
Hi Nickel, it is NOT a requirement to pass the English test before applying for a passport... it was just convenient for my wife to take the English test before applying for her passport.
And they don't make it clear whether the 28 days is until the date of the on-line application or 28 days until visiting VFS Global to submit those documents.
You do need to get these stamped. Downloaded documents, however they look, are not sufficient. All documents should be originals or certified copies. You should examine Appendix FM-SE for a full list of evidential requirements which include, but is not limited to, business accounts, bank account statements, national insurance contributions and so on.
Hello KwT, Belated welcome aboard. It's a good idea to get the important steps organised early. If you're relying on Self-Employment income to meet the financial requirement I'd suggest reading through the specific requirement details to be sure you can get all the paperwork lined up. The Self-Employment category can become somewhat more complex. Not too difficult but just needs a little extra attention Anyway good luck with the immigration journey.
