Wish we'd got in the month before the new darn rules, we'd be past ILR now! Had to wait on a name correction on the wife's BC. Took months arggghhh
i wonder how many british guys would have ever got involved with a flipina girl--if they had any idea of all the hoops we have to jump through
That's the beauty of it all, most people have fallen in love before they realize the hassle they have to go through
@Timmers - he's settled in really well thank you - currently working at what he was doing before, freelance. Yes, we got the FLR ok, after an afternoon hanging around in the visa centre! Then we had another afternoon hanging around in another visa centre for a Schengen Visa for Spain in August. We applied for multiple but they gave single entry only - ggrrrrrrr!
We had no chance to escape the tender trap Pink Floyd "One Slip" from "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason": A restless eye across a weary room A glazed look and I was on the road to ruin The music played and played as we whirled without end No hint, no word her honour to defend I will, I will she sighed to my request And then she tossed her mane while my resolve was put to the test Then drowned in desire, our souls on fire I lead the way to the funeral pyre And without a thought of the consequence I gave in to my decadence One slip, and down the hole we fall It seems to take no time at all A momentary lapse of reason That binds a life for life A small regret, you won't forget, There'll be no sleep in here tonight Was it love, or was it the idea of being in love? Or was it the hand of fate, that seemed to fit just like a glove? The moment slipped by and soon the seeds were sown The year grew late and neither one wanted to remain alone One slip, and down the hole we fall It seems to take no time at all A momentary lapse of reason That binds a life for life A small regret, you won't forget, There'll be no sleep in here tonight One slip ... one slip
That's good news Lisa, a holiday in Spain too, cant be bad Good to see everything has turned out well, none of us know exactly how things are going to turn out for sure until the loved ones have been in the UK for a little while and found their feet, I think some settle better than others from what I have read here at BF.
That's right @Timmers - all unknown. Anyway let's just hope the government don't do anything else stupid. There was me thinking we were safe once we were married
