I was just talking to the wife, she submitted 500 pages of chat logs, back to back, ridiculous, I would never of allowed her if I'd known for Gods sake.

see---theres a case in point----hours of chat logs-----but--they dont necessarily prove a couple have met in person !

there was a post recently--where the writer said the bundle of documents weighed several kilos !
my DHL pack--ready to go--weighs about 500 gramms--which the envelope was designed for.

the extra stuff about your home. without me reading the visa app notes--dont they ask for a copy of the deeds--? whereas utility bills and previous mortgage statements arent called for .

please dont think i'm nit-picking---just that if i were the case worker i would get annoyed if i were rifling through extra bumf looking for the very thing that was expected--but not there.[/QUOTE]

    Hi Bigmac
I am grateful of all the help I can get and dont consider any input as nit picking, please see below the notes off the sponsorship form and I have tried to follow this. In my contents finance I have a letter headed document from the Nationwide confirming a mortgage account held with them and the the good old utility bills!

Note 1: The sponsor should provide evidence that he/she lives at the address given above. This evidence should include one or more documents from the list below. Please note that applicants must also provide evidence of their sponsor's ability to maintain and accommodate them without recourse to public funds.  Certified copy of deeds of sponsor's house  Letter from building society/bank confirming they hold a mortgage for the sponsor  Housing association/council rent book or other council letter confirming address of sponsor  Bill from a utility company (gas, water etc.)  Local authority letter (council tax)  Letter from any government department

Its all in order John, you cannot submit the Deeds to the house because you will not receive them until you have finished paying the mortgage.

i think in your case John your application is simple and straightforward:

youre married--so no need to prove youve met etc--all the wedding paperwork is a bit overkill.
you own your own home--simple to prove that.
the main thing is concentrate on proving you meet the earnings requirements.

The provision of my last 2 p60s I have tried to demonstrate I earn well above the £18600 required and the reference letter from my current employers indicates what my very basic 2015/16 earnings would be expected again well north of the £18600,the letter from the nationwide states I hold a mortgage with them and many of the photos we have supplied we have ensured where we are both on the photo that there is also a place name in the photo eg at Baguio City there is a big sign saying " welcome to Baguio City mines view park" we stood in front of it and happy snapped!!!!!!!!!!

Baguio what a place make sure you take a camera and loads of memory cards, the views are awesome from the mines park and we were lucky in a way that it was sunny and then went cloudy and thundery so the photos were very contrasting all very awesome and one striking thing was how clean and litter free it was from other cities Ive seen! we have vowed to return and stay there a week or so and see the place properly.
Jubys dad worked there as a young man and was a big help giving us detailed explanations and history all in all WOW

That's one of the problems when you produce a list of documents for submission, you always forget to include something :)

You just need a certified photograph of the kitchen sink now, John :D

My wife has been to Baguio a few times. I saw some pictures of her picking strawberries. I was amazed.

Also saw pictures of some buildings with fireplaces in. Again, amazing.

Under the old rules we most definitely had to supply bank statements.

Is it still a requirement under the newer rules, if you are well clear on the income requirement?

This suggests yes, if it is still a valid document:
