I'm happy I did a 2-sided print of the form. I saved a tree today, and got my FLR.
Waited for almost two hours but it was worth it!

Well done, now you can forget about visas for a while :like:

Waiting two hours is better than waiting two months for the postal application :)

For old impatient people like ourselves it is important to get the first appointment of the day, from memory we did, I think you can book the appointment time online, is that still the case?

yes--we took the first date available--and the first time slot was 12 noon. we got there earlier---but there was over 200 there already. i think by the time we finally left---the number was up to about 400---and more arriving even then.

    all premium apps--at £500 a head.

Yes it's still that way. We booked for 2PM, arrived 40 minutes early but were still accommodated right away. Good day today in Liverpool. :)

200 is a lot of people, the Croydon branch is obviously a lot bigger than the Liverpool UKVI office.

Is this list still okay? Since this was posted way back 2014. Just getting myself familiar with the requirements for FLR. :D

Yes still pretty much helpful, same process and all but as stated you will definitely differ on some documents as every applicant has different circumstance. :)

I noticed. I just thought to make a research about this, and found old threads. The entry visa is just the tip of the iceberg after all.

Would be mostly similar to your fiancée application, just update your sponsor's docs and submit marriage certificate along with correspondences addressed to you and your partner. Have a look at the FLR form and you'd see that it would be much easier as you've answered most questions before.

And remember the new NHS surcharge, if using the premium service it is now part of the online booking process.

But don't be pressured with the correspondence you won't be expected to have all the 6 since you are only switching from fiancé(e) visa and they know you can't do much with that. A council tax and maybe water bill will be okay to provide but really they don't expect it all and they will understand that of course but make an effort to have at least one or two maybe (or even more if you can). :D

So basically, the FLR application is somewhat lenient with their requirements? I'm not really familiar with the "correspondence" yet, but I've read it somewhere and didn't bother to research. I will surely try to read this long thread from page 1 - recent.

Thank you guys for the info! :)

Basically you are sending the same documents from the fiance visa just make sure to update everything like bank statements and things like that with your marriage certificate and wedding photos. Get your name to the council tax right away once you are in the UK. ;)

    well--i dont entirely agree--lol.

the FLR applicant needs 6 items of correspondence addressed to you both. this is likely to be difficult---so--in the event of a shortfall--one item to EACH of you for each shortfall.

    for example:

2 items to both of you--
    means
4 items to each of you
    so
    10 items altogether.

but--you can have more than one item from the same sender.

I respect that but having read a lot of threads in many forums if you are switching from a fiancé to FLR(m) you are not expected to meet all the 6. UKVI knows that you can't open a bank account (most banks would require you on a spouse visa) and can't register with a GP on a fiancé visa. From what I can recall they only send council tax and water bills but they are all approve. But of course when you are extending from spouse visa or 2nd FLR(m) you should meet the 6 items of correspondence or individually if not applicable.

So you mean council tax and water bill on my name alone? Just a clarification, does this need to be put in my new name (married name)? Because we plan to get married by April and if possible apply for FLR as soon as possible. We don't want to catch the new IELTS A2 requirement on May 2017, that will be another fee.
