The end of March at the moment. Nothing firmly fixed yet though. I just want him to get here first, then I can breathe again lol.

Personally I think its good to get the first FLR out of the way as soon as you are married, it is only then you can breathe a sigh of relief and have two and a half years of visa free bliss :)

Schengen visas excepting, of course. The joys of which we are having just now.

And.... dont forget the Life in the UK Test. It is never too soon to get swatting for it. :D

That soon passes! Just one more year to go and we've got to go through the whole rigmarole again. The most traumatic part of that is probably having to visit Croydon once more!

What a load of old tosh that is.

    Start revising here: http://www.theuktest.com/life-in-the-uk-test/1

Now, Im confused by question 16. Because I thought Britain didn't include Northern Ireland. And "The British Isles" included the Republic of Ireland.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong and would fail my Life in the UK test.

hmmm--i wondered what tampo meant. thanks to wiki--now i know:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tampo

Tampo, in Philippine culture, refers to a range of behavior in which a person withdraws his or her affection or cheerfulness from a person who has hurt his or her feelings.[1]

The term has no precise equivalent in English, though "sulking" or "to sulk" is often considered the closest translation

I am presuming you are not married to a Filipina, bigmac?
You are lucky to not know what "tampo" is. ;)

I remember Croydon quite well myself, drove down a street there only meant for the trams :) was trying to find an address in the centre and just swung down a wrong street in the city centre.

I was practising with the missus just for fun the other day, and yes there are one or two tricky questions in there for sure. A little revision just before you take the test and it will be no problem at all.

That's exactly what I said to the missus, "we will be back here before we know it".

Mrs Ash took the old test. The key was revision, revision, revision. It works. And its all in the book, or was, with the old format.
