PC Keith Palmer, an unarmed officer, who was fatally stabbed outside Parliament in today's terrorist attack was 48 years old and has 15 years' service with the Metropolitan Police after leaving the Royal Artillery; he was a husband and father.

Three as-yet unnamed members of the public were earlier killed by the attacker on Westminster Bridge as he drove his SUV along the pavement at high speed.

    RIP.

    Very sad day.
    R.I.P PC Keith Palmer.
The terrorists underestimate Londoners and British resolve..
They probably have never even heard of the "London Blitz"..
They have no clue what they are up against when the worst comes to the worst.

    RIP sir.

Sadly, this is not at all like the blitz.

We have many thousands of people living amongst 'us' now, who hate us and our way of life.

I will say no more, lest I stir up the PC brigade.

Nothing like the Blitz Graham..Just an illustration of an enduring British character trait that these terrorists will never understand or defeat, despite the leftist agenda to kill our way of life and mute our freedom of speech.
Just my honest opinion expressed here on the internet.

What a bunch of low-lifes, taking advantage of the deaths of 3 people to go out on the streets to make a propaganda video while it is still fresh. Some people.

I know that if I'd lost someone today I'd be pretty offended by that video as it is clearly someone trying to push a political agenda and seemingly almost revelling in what has happened.

All this happened near to where I work, which is one stop along from Westminster. I could hear the police cars and the shooting from my office and was nervous getting the tube just in case there was more to follow.

The guys in the video are correct that it is not confirmed who did it yet, but I think we all know it will turn out to be some tosser who has turned to 'radical Islam' or some such bollocks.

Honestly! People in general are a pretty low species.

With respect to your personal views.

There are one hell of a lot of people making "propoganda videos" about this heinous event, they are being shown all over the internet news sites and television channels.

Do you believe that Sadiq Khan's insincere, well prepared and well presented propoganda speech was not pushing a political agenda?

Was Sadiq Khan waving his arms about and banging on about "the right" and how it was their fault like the kid in that video was going on about "the left"? I must have missed that.

The interesting thing yesterday was that I left work early, at about 3.30, and got the tube and on the underground it was as though nothing had happened. People talk about "life going on as normal", but that really was the case. Just a tannoy announcement "Train's are not stopping at Westminster due to a police emergency. There are delays on the Metropolitan line due to a signal failure. All other lines are operating as normal."

Other than that it was as though nothing had happened above.

In my office there was British, Europeans and muslims all stood around talking about the events that were unfolding and all on an equal basis. People on both sides of the divide try to drive a wedge between people, but London is a truly integrated city - beyond what so many people can properly understand - and people like the knobhead that decided to come down from Birmingham and commit this atrocity will never be able to do anything to prevent this.

Sad to hear about the deaths. Only the policeman has been named so far. I often walk through Parliament Square while at work and, who knows, I may well have been next to him in the past. Such a sorry waste of life, but you have to say well done to the security forces.

THe guy got out of his car and was heading for a cafe in The Houses of Parliament where the public go for relaxation when visiting. Two police came out and shot him before he got there. This was heading for something even worse.

    RIP Keith Palmer.

Time for our own UK Guantanamo bay, lock them up as suspects before they commit these atrocities, any hint of radicalisation then bang them up indefinitely, tough measures for tough times.

Forgot, we have lots of left wingers who do not approve of locking suspects up, they prefer to wait until they have done the deed on the streets of the UK.

I must say from what I saw on the news that the security and ambulance services acted very swiftly and professionally, all credit to them.

I agree, Graham, but there will always be those who seek to make political capital out of such events. I have an equally low opinion of people such as this sad man taking a selfie:

The identity of another victim has been released.

Aysha Frade a 43 year-old British-born woman of Spanish descent married to John, a Portuguese man, with whom she has two daughters aged eight and eleven. Mrs Frade works at a language school near to Westminster Bridge and was walking to collect her children from school when she was struck by the attacker's SUV and thrown under a bus.

    RIP Aysha Frade.

So tragic. Whilst we should remember that changing our lives and plans for terrorists is never an option, we should also remember those whose lives will change and whose plans will change because of the cowardly act undertaken yesterday. Two children are now without their mother.

My own belief is that the U.K. is winning the war on terrorism, purely because these people are now resorting to low tech actions. Sadly, I do not think it is ever possible to get enough intelligence to stop lone wolf attacks. We will never truly know what information the Spooks had on this but, if there are lessons to be learned, I am confident they will be without resorting to the knee-jerk "sweep all" solutions that are being proposed that will be effective only in dividing the world.

They were bound to say that. I think such claims have no real credibility after they did it before and it turned out the guy was doing it out of gay guilt.

Interesting, also, that the police have not released the name of the attacker. So if he was really such a thing as a soldier of Islamic state why don't they prove it by saying his name?

Load of bull that doesn't wash at all.

Well quite! Maybe some Daesh nutter watched the first part of Channel 4 News yesterday where they named the terrorist as being the hate preacher Abu Izzadeen, formerly known as Trevor Brooks. Later during the same news broadcast Channel 4 had to recant when they were told in no uncertain terms that Izzadeen was actually still in prison serving a sentence for skipping bail!
