Hi everyone my girlfriend Reichelle asked me to ask she has started to fill in the visa application form and the question, place of issue? Meaning her passport of course but she not sure of the answer will it be in her passport or is it the Republic of the Philippines? Thanks for any help
When I get that question on the landing card when I am flying into the Philippines I just answer either Glasgow or UK, I think Republic of Philippines would be fine. Part of the reason for this question is that you can be obtain your home country passport while you are in a foreign country, or your second nationality's passport, for example my partner's Korean passport was issued in Manila, she is native Filipino but has dual nationality, for her the answer to that type of question on a Korean form would be Manila or Republic of the Philippines.
It also asks about mine and I said the United Kingdom it also asks when did I arrive in the UK? ??? Don't know how to answer that
"I was born in the UK and I am a native British citizen" is that answer to that. I find the quality of thought behind questions in modern government application forms for various services to be close to moronic these days, utterly appalling as they put little effort into basic logic.
Place of Issue - it is written in her passport of course. It is usually where (DFA branch) she applied her passport. Hope that helps
Issuing Authority - DFA, Place of Issue - Could be Manila, NCR Northeast, etc... located above her signature
For the fiancée visa.. May sound daft, but I would just like to be certain with the answers. What is this person's relationship to you? Sponsor is my fiancé, but there is no option in the drop-down menu.. Partner? -
Was trying to attach a screenshot, I could not with an iPad or couldn't figure out how. Possible options-- friend, partner..Other relative is not applicable, I think. But a friend is considering this option.
i'm pretty sure we put partner--as it was the only valid option really. just another banana skin i thought.
