I use Android, and I don't get adverts on BF. I do on other Apps that I have downloaded, and if the adkiller apps weren't so intrusive and only work within WI-FI range, I would thing twice before downloading them again.
Only non-staff members see the adverts, according to OSS. I can definitely see them on my Android phone. In fact, I saw a similar adverts to what BigMac saw.
Where? I know nothing of this app, the only way I know of to get this site is in a browser, that is not the same as a dedicated application. I know you are an iOS fan John, but at least on Android there is no published British Filipino application, if there is one on iOS I would love to know who wrote it?
There used to be a prompt along the lines of Download the British Filipino App. So I did, for my iphone. I can see it now. It sits amongst my other apple apps.
I have seen many scam adverts on here when my ad-blocker was switched off; the most notorious being UK Immigration Barristers whose owners and employees are linked to some of the biggest frauds in the UK in the past 10 years.
There is no App available for this site. You don't need a mobile app, the CSS for this site has excellent mobile capabilities.
Yeah but it has to be a browser link to the site as there is no special standalone application for British Filipino.
It's a browser link John your are viewing the site in Safari browser on the phone, if it is in a browser it is not what, in the development world, we call an app. An App is a dedicated program that has been written to provide a richer user experience than is available in the browser, many real apps provide a worse experience than the browser, Flickr being one example, what you are using is just a link, like a desktop link on a PC. If you search on the apple app store can you find an app called British Filipino? If you can then I am amazed mate
When I get a chance I will check the substance out. My phone is roaming right now so I am unable to access further detail. It is a BF app alright. You might want to call it a quicklink, hotlink or something else but like I say, it sits with and looks like all my other iphone apps. Perhaps its masquerading as an app? Are we talking semantics here.?
