Now that the Premier League started with a bang I can enjoy some proper sport viewing on TV from time to time. Gone is all the nambi-pambi cycling, swimming, volley ball, synchronized farting around and whathaveyou..........:vhappy: The few thrilling games of football shown, were played by women, as the blokes were just appalling to see, again, absolute overpaid primadonnas at their worst. Now with the season on the way, we know what to expect, behaviour wise, and are sort of ready to put up with it. None of that pretend amateur lark.... Please, nobody mention gongs for the athletes............. I always thought that the whole idea of the Olympics was to excel, and a medal was recognition enough for the effort. But this trend of giving honors to kids that haven't seen or experienced anything of life, stinks........... By all means, honor somebody that dedicated his/her life to sport, and consistently excels at it, like Redgrave, Hoy, and that fat woman swimmer, but leave the rest until they are old enough for it and really deserve it.
The Para Olympics is on! Though it will not get anywhere near the same attention as the main event. But this years Premier League promises to be a dramatic season given the last one!
