Ok there has to be a thread about the soon to start Premiership!

I am a huge Liverpool fan who is much happier about this season than the last one but think any Pool fan who thinks we are going to win it are being over ambitious!

The way I see it going is the league being between Utd, Chelsea & City with Liverpool fighting it out with Arsenal and maybe one other team!

    Any thoughts?

Arsenal are due to win something, Man united will be up there, so will Cheaski and Man city. Liverpool an unknown quality, must try harder. :welcome:

I've just got this feeling that Man City are gonna treat this season as the ONE, and make a huge effort. Maybe the accumulated talent will perform..:boxer:

Sorry to say that I just don't see Liverpool being quite there.

Def think City will be in the shake up and a lot of pressure on Mancini to deliver,

Think Wengers stubbornish will leave Arsenal without a trophy again!

That City may be in the top four with Spurs, Utd and Chelsea there is no doubt in my mind.
The Pool and the Gunners have lost their way, and will take years to recover, as they seem to live in the glories of the past...

Hmmm, where do my hopes end and my speculations begin?:erm:

Given that I was raised in Stretford, Manchester (Stretford end), Manchester United is above religion round these parts! So, as Dom bitterly knows, I'm a United fan and converting a few Pinoys along the same lines as well......

Now, the season ahead.. Ryan Giggs will announce his retirement after a long career and libido. Chelsea will be looking for another manager unless the new kid pulls in massive wins from day one:erm: Mancherster City are a dark horse, I doubt they will get above United and Chelsea due to some in team fighting and walkouts but we shall see.

Honestly, I can see Manchester United replacing that big "19" on their stadium with a "20" after winning the league again. Not too sure with the Champions league though, Barca are just far beyond what everyone else is doing right now..

Maybe this time around, if there is a time around United, may actually touch ball "20" times against Barca......

A Man Utd fan saying Utd will win the league, shock..horror lol

Think Utd fans are trying to rule Man City out simply because they just do not want to see them winning it!!

I disagree with thinking Liverpool fans like me are living in the dark ages because I do not believe we have a devine right to win anything based on past glory but still have to believe that one day we can turn things around!

    Keeping the faith!!

Rubbish... Head round Manchester city centre and the majority of pubs are full of United fans! Yes, Salford is a United area, but so is Clayton, Droyslden, Newton Heath and pretty much most of the surrounding areas - All within the Manchester City Council boundary. The old city fan mantra that City fans are real mancunians is a lie to make up for their lack of trophy's:erm:

Though if I were a gazillionaire, I might consider buying both teams and joining them up and renaming them to something that shows a united Manchester, say... Manchester United???? :boxer: :D

I hope the Liverpool defense tightens up very quickly, 15 goals conceded in 5 games is very poor!!
