When I filed for my settlement visa it was 10 years ago, tried looking at my documents but looks like we have thrown or shredded some of it when I filed for my ILR and citizenship. The solicitor who at the time was dealing with my case was hired by my ex so I don't think I can contact her.

Unfortunately most solicitors will ask to see you personally specially if it is a UK solicitor (for anti money laundering etc). Since I have a very complicated case we decided to seek help from a specialist to help us in presenting our documents. I don't know whether you would be able to send an online enquiry to a UK solicitor and take it from there. It is really ideal if you could as it would help you and your husband with your application.

Hi! Sorry for late reply been busy...yes my husband wrote to his MP and directed him to a immigration advicer. My husband told her our issue ,she told him that as long as our marriage is valid in the country where it celebrated and the legal enpendenment was removed. And they start talking about financial requirements. And my husband said our marriage will not be a problem. I am worried, anyway I have all the documents with me and some covering letters explaining everything. I have now my Indices of marriage ( record of marriage from NSO) 1. showing my previous marriage was Nullified and 2. I am presently married to my present husband.and the previous marriage with annotation null and void.I supervised the extraction of those documents from local registry until dfa to be sure that it's genuine and true. I learned my lesson
