I looked for "Space Patrol" on YouTube yesterday, Jim.
    Another programme came up, unfortunately.
I seem to remember there was a robot with a funny walk that used to move from one side to the other.
I have never seen it again, perhaps it was "Space Patrol", Jim?
It was one of my earliest TV memories.

I remember "people" getting into pods and being whisked from place to place. Very futuristic for the time.

Quite a design for the time, almost like a design a very fast car could have.

Do you mean the robot off Fireball XL5 Mike?, what about the monkey too? :)

    Happy days

In America is was Planet Patrol apparently according to this Wiki article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Patrol_(1962_TV_series) as there already was a 'Space Patrol' live action series in the US during the 50's, but in the UK yes it was 'Space Patrol'.

Fireball XL5 had the robot, I don't specifically remember a robot in Space Patrol.

According to the article it was thought that it was entirely lost but that a whole load of prints were discovered and converted to DVD.
