I would dearly love for some Italian prosecutor to issue an international arrest warrant for the said sad individual, for wilfully attacking and biting Chiellini during open play.

This animal doesn't belong on the pitch. I used to admire him, until he took a chunk off Ivanovic...

I reckon that if he had been sent rightly off, Italy would have progressed to the last 16.

I don't think one could. Given that it was an assault on Brazilian soil. And even if it had happened here, the most he would face would be a charge of Actual Bodily Harm.

Yeah but as John Bishop said, everyone enjoys a little Italian now and again.

Interestingly Chiellini has come out and said that the ban is excessive......

He has set such a bad example to youngsters who idolise him throughout the world, he should have been banned for a full season in my opinion, hit him where it hurts, in his pocket.

He should be made to publicly apologise before Uruguay's next match.

Its amazing the breadth of opinion on this. However I do think that FIFA got it about right. 3.3 million Uraguayans seem to think it is OK to bite another player but that opinion isnt shared globally.

BTW I just had to look that up. 3.3 million - we just got knocked out of the World Cup by a nation with a population of 3.3 million.

I think there is so much interest in the story because its unprecedented having a football player who has been banned three times for biting another player.

    He needs psychological help.

Has anyone noticed that Suarez has quite the overbite? It could be possible for him to lean his head into someone and basically bite them because hos teeth come way out!

Yeah you're right, he's a bit of a Bugs Bunny in the teeth department.

Will be interesting to see how his team gets on without him tonight.
