I don't want to be too depressing but I was commissioned by a very good friend in Manila who every year celebrates his birthday by helping street children and families he asked me to take some shots a couple of years ago, here are a few of them.

By the way my friend is not a rich man he is a professional but is earning less than 30,000 a month himself.

Not everyone appreciates an intrusive photographer and I can't say I blame him :(

Excellant pics, like the action basket ball shot. Out of interest what camera do you use?

Thanks Stu, most of these were taken on my old Canon 20D SLR but I sold that a couple of years back, still miss it, a great wee camera even with the small APS-C sensor.

The more recent shots of the street kids and families were taken on my Canon 5D mk 1 full frame SLR but sadly it got destroyed recently.

I'll be posting a selection of my scenic landscapes soon.

Oh I forgot to mention the flash shots are not direct flash I was using a Lumiquest Pocket Bounce surface to soften the light.

Ahhhh, I WANT an SLR camera.. On one of my future trips to Pinas I will be taking a good camera with me. You can tell the difference a good camera and a good lense can make:like:

Ebay don't waste money on a brand new one you will get a superior camera with better handling for much less money if you buy second hand on ebay, just ask my advice on the model and condition if you do think about that option Kuya, I worked in the photographic industry for 12 years long long time ago but I still know my stuff :)

These are not uploads Peter, I host my pics on Flickr (you can get an account for free)

Then Flickr lets me grab some bulletin board code that has the hard reference to the URL of the image and I post that in my message.

There is a separate Gallery that allows you to upload pictures to the site, part of Vbulletin the software behind the site.
