Even Greasy is starting to show some of his old Villa form which is another plus for city and possibly England.

Sorry I disagree on the England front he strikes me as another Hoddle, Worthington, Hudson type of issue yes a good player but not able to slot in and be imposing enough.

Pep is still trying to get him to play City's style of play and to justify paying 1 million quid for him.

I think it will be a few years before that happens but Everton are definitely improving this season under Frank Lampard.
Mind you, they couldn't get much worse than last season.
Pivotal moments happen at football clubs, some for the worse and some for the good.
A top ten finish would be good for Everton this season.

Sunday night - Everton v Man Utd.
Will Utd be out to rectify a dreadful thrashing by Man City or will their confidence be shot?
It will also depend on whether Lampard has got the toffees in the right frame of mind after their good recent run.
A score draw sounds reasonable under the circumstances.

    Nothing wrong with Rashford’s goal!

    A good entertaining game though.

Looks like 1966 when Everton beat Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup final.
I was 10 yo and was with my dad outside St. George's Hall
The days when Everton used to win things :rolleyes:

    From Wiki, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z-Cars, Jim:
Origin of the (Z Cars) title:
The title comes from the radio call signs allocated by Lancashire Constabulary. Lancashire police divisions were lettered from north to the south: "A" Division (based in Ulverston) was the detached part of Lancashire at the time around Barrow-in-Furness, "B" Division was Lancaster, and so on (see Home Office radio). The TV series took the non-existent signs Z-Victor 1 and Z-Victor 2. The title does not, as sometimes suggested, come from the cars used, Ford Zephyr and Ford Zodiac. The Zephyr was the standard traffic patrol car used by Lancashire and other police forces, while the Zodiac was only used for specialist tasks such as traffic duty. Also, the term "Z-car" was used by British newspaper publishing companies to refer to any type of police vehicle.

Surprising that Everton, at this stage, this season finds itself with the same amount of points as the Pool... 10... Only goal dfference keeps them slightly apart.

Definitively a defence problem for both teams

The problem for Everton is that we don't have a lot of attackers like many of the teams above us.
We won't be able to buy whilst the new stadium is being built so we are a few years away from thinking about Europe.

I watched the game live yesterday (wife was out) I thought Everton did really well in particular the first half, Gray missed a good chance and so did somebody else cant remember who, had one or both gone in would of been an away win for Everton.
I thought the penalty looked harsh! but the positive was that the Everton players kept going, you can see Lampard's and Cole's influence already paying dividends top half this season and a decent cup run.
