UK visa question from a newbi

Almost certainly what lies behind all this is....where exactly can you be perceived to be a permanent resident, when bouncing between countries ?

Some 'visitors' would certainly 'take the p', given the opportunity. Hence the discretion given to UK Border Control officials ?

Hello. I just want to update you that I successfully entered UK last Friday without hassles. No more questions were asked except the basic "How long I'm staying in UK?".
