Submitted all docs yesterday at VFS Dubai for visit visa for my wife. Was advised that it would take up to 15 working days. Later in the evening received a sms that it had been submitted to UK that same day. Fingers crossed.

Thanks guys for the good luck messages. I will be retiring immediately after the UK holiday and moving full time to Philippines. Would like the wife to meet all of my extended family, there are a lot of them, and friends back home before we make the move.

    Thats good news!

I've heard that its very unusual for pinoys to be rejected visit visa if you are an ofw in dubai or UAE. Ukvi thinks that pinoys wouldnt risk a stable job/situation and 'hide' or 'overstay' in the UK.

    Happy days ahead!

Thank you Maley. She isn't an OFW, she is here in Dubai on my visa as wife. Very happy to get the visa nonetheless.

I live in Spain and know of several pinays who have 'run away' whilst on holiday in Spain with their employer families .

    Hi guys
Now that we have UK visit visa for my wife, I was hoping to visit friends in Jersey, Channel Islands whilst we are there. Will her visa allow this visit?
