Hi I'm new here. I'm still on the process of applying for a fiancee visa. And I'm stuck in paying online. I understand that the fees are in US dollars. I'm just wondering if they accept payment through a peso savings account? If not, can I use a third party's (e.g. relative) credit card to pay for the visa fees?

Hi Anne and welcome to BF :welcome:

Yes, you can use a third party to pay for your visa with a credit card, I logged into my girlfriends account that she at set up on the VFS website and paid for it.

You can also use your own visa/debit card too.

If you need any further help just start a new thread and someone will answer your query soon enough :D

Good luck. By the way the average waiting time is 60 working days, I got lucky and it was only 50 days of waiting inclusive of weekends.

Thank you so much for the quick response, Timmers. So in other words, my fiance can actually log in to the my visa4uk account and let him pay for the fees, right? Coz both of us are still figuring how to make a payment since my own credit card does not have sufficient funds and my debit card has no Mastercard or Visa logo on it. I'm still awaiting for the bank's approval for the increase of the credit limit and will take me 5 working days to get a reply from them.

Congratulations by the way in getting the visa. I can imagine how the pressure went off your shoulders! As for me, I'm still in the waiting game.

    Thanks again for replying!

Yes your future hubby can just log in to your account and pay with his credit card, that's just what I did. Just give him your login details and he can quickly do it.

Good luck, and let us know if you need help with anything else :)

Hello again Timmers! My fiance and I followed your advice and we already set the date of appointment. However, I'm now experiencing another problem in paying for the visa application center service fee (I'm located in Cebu). I'm on the process of paying under User Pay, filled out the form and keep on getting an error message along with the GWF reference number being highlighted. "Error occurred while selecting the services for the applicant." Help

I had the same problem, I had to try many many times before I could get the payment to go through, I thought at the time that it was due to the website being new and still having bugs in the software, this is obviously not the case as you are experiencing the same problem seven weeks later. I even thought at one stage that I may have paid twice :). Keep trying, meanwhile I will look back at my old posts on this very subject and get back to you as soon as I can.

Unfortunately I cannot find the post I made regarding the problems I had whilst trying to pay for our visa online, however I did come across a post I made regarding submitting your documents which you may find helpful.

    http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...se-fiancee-visa-documents-to-vfs-office.8982/

Keep trying to submit your payment, be patient and it will eventually go through. I remember how distraught I was when I thought I had done all the hard work getting the visa documents together and thinking paying for the damn thing has surely got to be as easy as buying something online with your credit card, how wrong I was.

Please let us know if you get the payment through :)

Any idea why it is like that, Timmers?

Maybe its because so many people are trying, simultaneously, to do the same thing?

I thought maybe it is the last attempt by the UKBA to piss you off good and proper, I remember myself in the UK trying to submit payment and my loved one in the Phils trying to do the same, good couple of hours before I managed to get the payment through. I remember at the time thinking it was the website because there was a message saying it was a new set up put in place to speed up the process of applying online, how far from the truth was that.

The website should be able to cope with thousands of upon thousands of applications at the same time, it is 2014 after all, maybe not for the UKBA though

Well, the Visa fee payment went through. I already got a confirmation of the appointment through e-mail. However, the service fee for Cebu application center didn't. The VFS website (http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/philippines/) is quite confusing. When I clicked on the Pay Online button under User Pay Services and filled out the form, I keep on getting the error message after clicking on the "select service" button. However, when I tried to go back to the aforementioned page, I've seen the Visa Application Center Section at the lower right hand corner of the page and selected Cebu as my location. And alas! It routed me to a page wherein it provided me this information:

VFS Global Services Philippines Private Inc.,
9th Floor, Keppel Center, Unit 905, Samar Loop
    cor. Cardinal Rosales Avenue,
Cebu Business Park, Cebu City 6000

(Applicants who wish to lodge their UK visa application at the visa application centre in Cebu will be required to pay an additional service fee of Php 4, 425 in cash at the visa application centre)

My fiance and I talked about going to the center anyway since I already got the confirmation of the appointment..

Can you tell me if it's the right thing to do Timmers?

You have no choice but to go.

Do you have any idea what the additional payment is for?

Oh, yes. I was aware that we will be paying for an additional service fee for applications lodged in Cebu. The last time I checked (April 2014), it cost Php3,900 and now it's already Php4,425! I don't know if there's a 'mid-year' increase here but what can we do?? As my fiance always says, "It is what it is!"

Thanks so much again for this forum most especially you Timmers.

If you applied 7 weeks ago, it surely is increasing. Our fees costs $1,513 now..

So all members who are planning to apply for settlement visa, you gotta keep moving ( I mean, fast) coz the fees are going up before you know it!

Did you make it through and successfully paid the additional fee? I cancelled my booked appointment earlier because i kept getting the error message, it won't proceed. Ugh! HEEELP! :(

Both myself and @Anne had the same problem with the visa application payment, when I paid from the UK with my credit card it took me many times to get the payment through, just keep trying.
