It's amazing, I see PR and I think Proportional Representation. It's like a lot of that stuff has been cut out of my brain. From what I know, I don't see why she'd have a problem getting it but obviously the sooner the application is in progress, the better.
If she and you apply now it will be Pre Settled Status depending what happens with our EU Membership will determine if you should wait and apply for permanent residence or not
Being obviously Irish (!), I don't think there's much to worry about...however, one never knows. Our intention was to look at it January or February next year, and as of yet nothing has occurred or been said politically that has changed our minds on that. As of yet. But yeah, what's happening with you two is a useful weather vane.
