Something I sometimes wonder about is the diference in washing the plates etc between UK-PH invariably cold water is used in the Phils and no-one seems any the worse for it so why do we use hot water in the UK ?

Do you ladies in the UK use hot or cold?:erm:

Jet arrived in September 2007, and was adamant in using cold water, and telling me off, for using too much washing up liquid...

After a few weeks, she realized that tap water in the Uk, is not like in the Philippines, especially in winter.
And with pipes only a few inches under ground, sometime permafrost makes the water close to freezing.
So she happily uses the hot tap.. winter and summer....

:) LOLZ Ate Florge, normal water is the same when you say ambient temperature. :)

FYI: The difference between room temperature and ambient temperature is that a room temperature is the temperature inside a temperature-controlled building where all the necessary parameters to maintain the set temperature of the building should not be touched while ambient temperature is the temperature of the surroundings encompassing all the factors that may affect temperature change. :)

Room temperature is usually taken to be either 20 or 25 degrees Celsius which is what is being used for scientific calculation.

For lay mans term ambient temperature is the temperature you feel you are most likely to blend with. For example, when the surrounding is cold you must take a cold shower too because your blood temperature with blend with the temperature of the cold water making you a little less cold after taking a bath compared to taking a bath with a hot water during a cold season gives you a shiver after you take a bath. Try to do this and you will see the application of what am i saying.. :p

A Polar bear is as big as a brown bear, just white.. And they are white to allow for better hunting in the snow.. They are difficult to see coming!
