Quick way to melt the grease is to use hot water, makes no real difference regards hygiene, problem as Dom says is in Winter, UK tap water will freeze your fingers long before you get the dishes clean :D

Dom my Ana uses far too much washing up liquid a bottle of Fairy Liquid should last 3 months (my dad was a chemist he explained to me long ago why Fairy Liquid was the best washing up liquid ever invented :)) with Ana it lasts 2 weeks, same with toothpaste. Thirty years ago my dental hygienist explained exactly how much toothpaste to put on the brush and with twice a day brushing for 2 people a tube of paste should last about 6 weeks.

Us? two weeks :) just proved it over the last two weeks as she always switches to my Sensodyne as soon as I arrive :D

I find it nigh on impossible not to go off topic and drift threads Keith sori :D

Actually I read a post yesterday explaining how to wash a Digital SLR body using a toothbrush but that's even further off topic :D

When they get a bit older you get white markings on the leather or rubber exterior surfaces, I think it's salt from sweat or mould growths, very obvious on older Canon DSLR's you can clean it up with a toothbrush and mild soapy water and some careful work :) You also get the same effect on the rubber coverings on focus and zoom rings on lenses.

Some people recommend baby wipes as well, they say they work a treat never tried that though.

Are they having huge Sheeps in Greenland? My English friend told me they do in Wales!
Much better we ask Wales Rob.. Very informative man.
In Polska for cleaning the plates we are using siwucha which is a kind of she-voo-ha.
No need soap as it is containing natural toxins.
Ahh.. This topic is making me feel sick for my home town!

My Ana wants a cold climate, she claims she liked it in Korea when she was there, I somehow suspect that she never experienced the never ending cold miserable drizzle we experience here in the UK.

Our climate has always been depressing, more so when I was in Scotland but this year in England has proved to be rather like many previous years in Scotland, the last couple in England were not too bad by my standards.

We will see how they like it long term when they finally get here, me I actually like the Philippine climate (and prefer it) and I have been there for both seasons (and all the seasonal variations in-between).

Before we came down to UK from Middle East my children asked what's the weather is like in the UK? I said they also have 4 season which are COLD, VERY COLD, FREEZING SNOWY COLD AND EXTREMELY COLD!!!
So they cheered up! They actually like if the weather is always COLD!!! :cheer:
We arrived summer 2009 and they were disappointed as it is also hot!
