Well nearly a week back at work

Do you ever wish you had made a different career choice back in the day, social worker or similar? I do,wish I had been a teacher, geography or English.

I will see how the support worker job goes first.
I was with a male care home resident today (with two other experienced support workers too). I chatted a lot to him but was unsure how much he understood, if any, but he was holding my hand as we walked in a nature reserve. This was heart-warming. Most people don't know how lucky they are and we all tend to forget this most days.

It is very difficult to look back and wish we could have done other things in our lives. We make choices as we go along, some good and some bad.
We cannot change the past but can only do our best to enjoy the present.
We all make mistakes but we are human and imperfect.
I have made big mistakes but hopefully I have learnt from them.

I have had a full life and now have a Filipina wife and two lovely children.

After my heart attack, the doctor said I was one of the lucky ones as many people don't make it. That made me sit up and take notice.
