I've not reallu explored Skout so I haven't tried that thingy. Is that where you met your partner then? If you don't mind Yeah quite many of them. Although I love stories where they met randomly, like in an airport or from visiting one country, lol sounds sweet to me
That's true. Although dating sites can be very tricky, you'll be deceived by some if you're not careful. These Brits are lucky to have found people like us online
I met him in an online dating site called Oasis. Honestly, I never expected anything from it. Just out of curiosity. Bored and all that, tried it (also tried skout on my phone) and shazaaaam! Met him, then talked for several months as just friends. Then feelings developed and all, we decided to meet. We clicked and we're getting married.
Awww. I never heard of that dating site but I'm happy it worked out well for you We are on the same path really, just tried it out of curiosity and boredom and then things got serious eventually and now we're on the verge of getting married. Bongga ka dai. Hahah
Exactly. Pinoys here might say that we are very lucky to find Brits but our partners actually think it's them who's lucky to find us. The truth is its just fair, both sides are lucky to have found each other
My fiancé at the time (now wife) and I live in Dubai, we were watching the NYE fireworks when the Address hotel went up in flames.
My wife and I, both living and working in Dubai, found each other on a social chat site WeChat. Chatted on line for quite a while before we met in person. The rest, as they say, is history. We married in Seychelles in April this year. Will move to Philippines next year as the house we are building in Davao will be finished by the end of this year.
WOW Seychelles, I bet you had a lovely time in your wedding. You're not far from me. I bet your wife is Bisaya like me. It's good that you've agreed to settle here it's not all the time that foreigners will settle here for good it's usually the Pinay who will adjust and settle abroad. Good for the both of you though.
I met mine while working in Holland, through her sister. The sister asked me if I would like to write as a penfriend to her sister, so I said yes why-not. that was 15 years ago.
I think the deception pudding of online dating is a little bit over-egged. I have been back online on the dating sites for a friend who has been convinced by my ever-present smug smile of the benefits of going through the hassle of finding a Filipina. He is however rather wealthy and has tasked me (at a reasonable price) with sorting the wheat from the chav so to speak. So I'm nattering away with a girl the other day, who within five messages, has volunteered her services as a 24-hour guide to the delights of the Philippines. Before I vamoosed, I did the gentlemanly thing. I asked her name. Perhaps the idiots among the UK populace would be happy to meet up with a girl who volunteers to stay with you for the duration of your stay in the Philippines (at a reasonable price), before volunteering her name. But maybe that isn't such a bad thing. While there is a plentiful supply of idiots, the scammers don't need to reconsider their tactics.
Date In Asia...we started as friends talking about our families...but when I saw her on cam for the first time I said "WOW you have a beautiful complexion"...she said I was "grabe kaayo gwapo". Now you know why she wears glasses... We met for the first time in person two and a half years ago and now my wife is home with me.
Yeahh that's right! And it's not made by destiny, it's a choice! It's a perfect timing also that you found each other there. You started to like each other, til you loved each other.
Sooo true! I know a love story -- a Pinay met her significant other while backpacking Asia. Are you familiar with two monkeys travel site? It seems they are destined to meet. So sweet.
