    The odd thing is that contrary to what is generally believed the overweight have a higher metabolic rate than average but it doesn't help.

    I have switched back again recently to steamed veg, new potatoes, cauliflower, carrots or broccoli, with steamed chicken done with light seasoning with black pepper and some rock salt.

    Apart from just being incredibly easy to make in a steamer it tastes really good and reduces my appetite dramatically, the goal is to reduce the high glycaemic foods.

    I've done this before and managed to reach a far better weight, the problem is that my weight tends to be tied to my overall state of mind.

    The steamed foods are about four days of the week, I love Asian food and I love a lot of Filipino food, more than happy to eat rice regularly but something in the climate does help us reduce our weight, if it isn't the overall balance then I am not sure what it is :)

    At the end of the day, while the body will process food differently depending on the sugar content and type of sugars (starch and how easy it is to convert) and when you eat, ultimately you can't beat the law of conservation of energy, food = energy, our movement (exercise ) = energy, eat more than you burn and you get bigger, eat less than you burn and you get smaller.

    for me keto and IF work or just keto with counted kcal, hungry works too.
