FIFA announced Saudi Arabia as the Venue.... After the hundreds of construction workers that died on the job in Qatar, and the thousands abused by the system and local laws, I was of the thought that the countries of Middle East would have been excluded from taking part, until they could show a minimum of civil decorum and allow people of the confused gender ideology to attend the events without being victimised, harassed or humiliated. Again the ugly suspicion of bribes dished out goes through my mind. It is obvious that someone at the top , or close to the top, is arranging for a pension plan... I am only thinking about it, and not libelling anyone.. Qatar showed the way forward..
That country is also not the best to Filipina housekeepers Also, there are an estimated 130,000 Filipino nurses working in Saudi Arabia and this number is expected to increase as President Marcos has recently announced plans of increasing the deployment cap for Filipino nurses. 12 Apr 2023

And what about Africa - South Africa... not really the same thing is it!
Excellent list there, John. Mexico however is in North America. I always think of South America, Central America and North America.
I spent many years in Africa but did not see many African countries who could have put on a World Cup, but then then again Qatar had to build many stadia. Maybe Nigeria but corruption would be a nightmare there. The first time I went there in 1977 opened my eyes - our car was in a traffic jam for hours trying to leave Lagos airport and when we finally got to the cause of the delay (a police checkpoint) they were fining everybody for speeding.
