no but will be in 2021,her sister is and has been since 2010 and is not paying into PhilHealth and visits the Philippines every other year
You are assuming this only applies to those defined as OFWs and that does not appear to be the case. There are two articles in this link read the second one https://www.khaleejtimes.com/world/...3-of-salary-for-philippine-health-insurance--
Has she already gone through the reacquisition process for her Filipino Nationality as she is assumed to have renounced that the moment she married you.
If it is based on earnings, how would they know how much was owed? This is just an excuse to fleece people again at airports.
As an expat Filipino it appears you are required to tell them what your earnings are, there is probably a default amount assumed.
Yes read that this a.m. it refers to overseas Filipinos, cant see any wording in this article or any other that refers to migrant Filipinos
The "Expat Filipino" term is used. It is not talking only about OFWs who are assumed to be temporary migrant workers.
Well right now she has Balikbayan rights and this law would not affect her. edit: sorry I'm wrong. She won't have officially lost her Filipino nationality yet that only happens when she takes up British Citizenship.
For a 'holiday' a 'vacation', and then 'Once they return home for vacation or other purposes, their PhilHealth payment records shall appear when their documents are checked prior to their departure from the country. If there are missed contributions, the expat should settle them first - along with compounded interest - before he or she can be allowed to travel.'
Thanks. Although I still wouldn't trust them 100% on not suddenly deciding to take it from her even if she did. I don't suppose you have an internet link for that?
My wife doesn't trust Philhealth either. If she felt her family might brnefit from her having it she'd consider paying for irt anyway, regardless of this new law.
This is just a quick one https://realpropertyphils.wordpress.com/2015/06/29/a-balikbayan-real-estate-investment-guide/ There are better links on the site already that point to official government sources for this but that link confirms my memory of the rules.
my wife is a migrant and no article refers to migrants they all talk about OFWs and expats, and as I read it an OFW is somebody who is a person from the Philippines who is living and working in another country, typically on a temporary basis. and the expat is for those who have been living abroad and intend to repatriate back to the Philippines
Someones got a petition going for OFWS already https://www.change.org/p/philhealth...ed_by_id=5092ebc0-efd1-11e9-a290-7f61067227e6
