Hi Brom27 How are you? It's been awhile I have not visited this website. My partner and I are starting to gather documents which will be needing for my application and we decided we would like to have our partnership register through Civil Partnership and Not Marriage since that is the best tagging for same sex couple when applying for a visa. Anyway as what you said once granted the Visa would say Marriage/Civil Partnership on the passport so we can get married too if in case we change our decision, what concerns me is that I have been reading the UKBA website and it seems like thier is no option for Proposed Civil Partner visa of Fiancee Visa when making application. So I don't know what category should I choose.

    Cheers'

Yes it is. Why are you not applying to get married? I don't understand when you say "tagging"

I will have to discuss this with my partner since Marriage is more beneficial than Civil Partnership. Thank you @Drunken Max. When I say tagging kala ko kasi before that if you are a same sex couple and when you apply for the Visa Dapat Proposed Civil Partnership and category nyo hindi pala neccesarry yun kasi pwede naman Marriage.

You can go for marriage, that’s not a problem here in the UK so you can actually choose (Settlement-Settlement-Marriage) when choosing the category

Hi @Brom27 I didn't know exactly what you mean until I have logged in at UKBA website. Meron nga silang Setttlement-Settlement-Marriage na tagging. Thanks that helps a lot.

You need at least level A1 for fiancé visa.

We just had our interview with the Manchester Central registrar. Ten minutes each which was a doddle. Wedding booked for Jan 19. I actually think same sex couples are probably less suspected that straight couples. As far as I can tell the requirements are the same for the visa whether marriage or civil partnership. Good luck

Just wondering how hard is IEALTS A1 exam and how long it will take you to finish it? I booked my IEALTS A1 exam this coming 7th of Feb. in Crowne Plaza Ortigas.

If you wrote that post yourself, you will have no problem with the A1 test.

The test itself (according to my wife) will take about 30 minutes for the listening and speaking components.
