Any POSITIVE Visa's granted in May?

Hi Numpters...no still no word...day 71 today. We havnt bothered emailing due to others who have just getting a standard copy and paste email. My local MP is on the case and will try and expadite it...hopefully soon although that route seems to take weeks to get a responce from the HO...they dont rush themselves do they!
We never imagined back at the begining of April when we attended the appointment we'd still be waiting now especially as we paid for the 15 day priority service.

The thing that annoys me the most is...they still advertise the priority service and happy to take the money even though they know full well they cannot fulfill it....
So anyone about to do book your appointment...DONT PAY PRIORITY! Save your money and use it to fly out and visit your loved one while you wait. It may have worked in the past but now its just a Government backed scam!

Hi @Matt P sorry you have to deal with the long wait. Even on standard processing 71 days is still too long.
Wonder if UKVI have missed that your application is on priority. May I ask how you paid for the priority processing, did you pay it on the day of the biometrics or did you pay for it online through the user pay services?

Just receive the notification today that my passport is ready for collection. Hopefully this is approved I will let you know. I applied last May 3 on priority. Biometrics the next day.

That's good to hear. We applied on may 10th but on standard. Hopefully we will hear something soon.

We paid online ahead of the visit in Makati. It also said in big letter on the cover sheet with the application number it was priority.

Yes we used the scanning service. My wife got a text later in the day to say it was received by Sheffield.

I'd like your opinions please.
We haven't emailed them because from what i can make out all people are getting back are standard responces stating current lead times which we know already and i hardly want to give them anymore cash for that.

Has anyone emailed and asked for their application to be expadited due to an excessively long wait? What was the response? Did it work?

@Matt P That's incredible. I don't know if you're willing to waste £5 but I say just do it. In the past when applicants have reached Day 60 their queries seem to be much more prioritised. I can't guarantee that you will get the same response since things have changed a lot recently, but you've got nothing to lose but £5? Either way I hope you hear from them soon. This is crazy.

new to the forum. Some good info flying around. My other half put in for her fiance visa on 14th June so we're now in the waiting process. We used the scanning service. My question is....mrs received an email from Sheffield 16 days after she submitted it (3oth June). Is it usual for it to take that long? My concern is that we'll have to start counting from the 30th June if that's the day they first looked at it - 16 days after submission!!
