Thanks @bigmac - A useful link, but as you say it doesn't work!!! Turns out you need to allow 'cookies' for '*.gov.uk', then the drop-down list will appear!

UPDATE - Even after allowing cookies as above, the next step returned a '503 Service Unavailable' Error... GRRRRR!!!

The question we have for now is the flight ticket, is it alright to book one way ticket or should it be return ticket?

That's 18 (working) weeks - plus Public holidays...!
I certainly hope it will be considerably less than that! :(
It would also help to know exactly when the clock starts - as per my previous Post!

    Hi everyone.

Just a quick question me and my fiancé are going to apply for the fiancé visa soon, and I would like to know if it's worth it doing the PRIORITY application? and for those who haven't used the Priority service was it really that long?

    Thanks.

Personally, I wouldn't (and we didn't) bother with Priority Service at the Fiance(e) Visa application stage - the £500 can be better spent elsewhere, such as at the 1st FLR(M) stage when your Fiance(e) is already here. That way, after you are married, you can (theoretically) speed up the process to enable your fiance(e) to start work - if that is the intention. I guess it comes down to circumstances and personal choice...

I can't comment on the difference in waiting times for Priority/non-Priority Service applications, as we are still waiting for a decision, but here is the timing of our application, so far -

    Online application submitted - 14/Feb/2018
Fiancee's appointment at VFS for biometrics, etc - 22/Feb/2018
    Documents submitted-received by UKVI - 05-06/Mar/2018
Documents returned to me - 06/Apr/2018. I then returned my fiancee's documents to her on 09/Apr/2018 and she received them (from DHL) on 11/April/2018...

    And now, we wait!

    Thank you UKDJ.
I just heard that some applications took around 60 to 70 days when they didn't use the priority one.
I guess we'll just do the normal one then.

Thanks so for your insight. Btw I'm the fiancèe hahaha.

Good luck on your application. Hoping for the best. Please let us know of the outcome. Good luck.

This is a good point - there seems to be a difference of opinion/confusion about when the 'clock' starts on the UKVI's 60-day 'target' for (non-Priority Service) applications...

My opinion is that this would begin from when UKVI have received the documentary evidence from both parties - as they are not going to make a decision without this evidence...!
Others have said it starts from when UKVI take your payment, but if you pay by credit card presumably the payment is almost instantaneous at the time of sending the online application. I have read somewhere that there is a 20-day time limit between sending the online application and when UKVI must receive the documentary evidence to support the application! As mentioned above, does this mean the 20-day period is included within the 60-day target of UKVI or (as I suspect) not?
