    hi just a quick question.

About the application form, on the SPONSOR DETAIL PART, which one should we choose on the question 'What is their relationship to you?'

will it be SPOUSE? PARTNER? or OTHER RELATIVE?

there is no option for FIANCE, it is so confusing hehe
    thank you.

Put ‘Partner’ as you are not married yet.

hi everyone. I will have my biometrics this coming Monday and it took forever before my fiance can finalised everything on his flat. I have a question regarding PROOF OF ACCOMMODATION. Is it okay if we just submit:
    • council tax
    • mortgage statement
    • flat photos
    • house survey
    • flat layout
as a proof? He said he can request for the title of the land (not sure of the name lol) and title register but it does not show his name on it YET.
We just got the keys last week and date of completion two weeks ago. Do we really need the land registry title?

    thank for your insights.

You need a council immigration inspection certificate as well I think.

    God I hope so.

I think also presentation is important. Make it easy to read and find data. No staples or binders etc.

I think not. If his fiance is the only one living then i think no need. We didn't submit any inspection cert coz only my husband (fiance then) living in the house.

Well as you received your visa without it then that speaks for itself. I have one on advice so hopefully it just adds up to the evidence, if not necessary.

You can include if you want. Just saying in both apps (fiance and FLR), we didn't submit one. Please note @shie1989, if your fiance is the only one living in the house, no need to submit an inspection cert.

i didnt submit an inspection report--i was the only occupier of a 2 bedroom rented flat. just sent copies of the lease and landlords agents written consent for my fiancee to occupy.

inspection reports are advised in shared accommodation cases--to show there will be no overcrowding.

Quick one, which courier service did people use that would deliver to a UK PO Box. I have seen a previous comment but cannot find it now

Are you talking about sending all evidence (Applicant and Sponsor) to Sheffield from within the UK? If so, Royal Mail tracked is fine.
You CAN find a courier that will deliver to a UK PO Box from the Philippines, but the reviews and feedback are not very flattering... better to get your other half to courier their documents to you - via DHL for example - then you send ALL documents to Sheffield via Royal Mail.

Thanks, I have everything ready to go after the biometrics tomorrow. Most courier companies will not deliver to a UK po box. I've been told to get a prepaid return waybill as well.

    I am nervous as feck

I used royal mail guaranteed next day by 1 o'clock...in a pillow case sized plastic bag bought at local post office. Postage was about £8

Not sure how you got away with £8 postage @bigmac? Cost me £52 for return postage to Sheffield - mind you, we did send a combined evidence bundle of 5.5kgs! :)

Really?! On the basis that a ream (500 sheets) of A4 paper weighs 2.5kgs, you must have sent about 1,100 sheets of paper! Could that be why your application is taking so long to be considered?
