That's quite impressive, but then it was a Priority Service application...

Yeah. Good thing I didn't avail priority service before. My fiance visa was even faster.

Hi dear. Thanks for the information. Actually we didn't submit a housing inspection report because on my fiance's council tax it says there something about 'sole occupancy' I think that's a good indication he's the only one living there. Also the flat has two bedrooms and he's the only one staying there. I guess the photos and flat layout will be enough. I also did a lot of research and they told me on other forums most of them did not submit one especially if they owned the property.

    ----------------------

On the other hand, I've just submitted my documents to Sheffield as well.

Date of application: 14 June 2018
    Biometrics taken: 19 June 2018
Documents sent to Sheffield: 22 June 2018 via Royal Mail
We paid an additional for the priority settlement.

    Hope everything goes well.

Good luck to all of us who are currently waiting.
I am so nervous and excited at the same time. haha

Hi Zeija did they return the photocopies you sent them? We did this as well, we have two packets one original and a second packets of photocopied documents. total weigh 1.077 kg ;)

Also did you receive any email that they've already got your documents? thank you.

Yeah. That was in my hubby's (fiance then) council tax bill too. We didn't submit house photos and layout. No need since he was living alone.

The only orig docs I had before was my passport and letter of employment. The rest were scanned copies esp my hubby's.

    Goodluck!

Hi shie, yes they did send them back. both the original and the photocopies. I think they just scanned the one with original documents.

We got the confirmation email after 8 weeks from the time of online submission. Though it's a non-priority application.

Pretty sure you'll get the email soon as you've paid for priority! :)

It's a tough call @wardy33, but in my experience contacting UKVI gets you nowhere! Emails are met with pro-forma auto-responses - even when asking specific questions.
The only benefit is knowing that you are doing 'something' to point out that you are aware of the failings of UKVI to meet their own standards!

    Hi @UKDJ

Just wanted to ask if UKVI sent you guys a "non- straightforward" email?

If yes, from what day have they sent it?

Just wanted to know as today is our 60th day from submitting the online application and we haven't heard from them yet...

We got nothing from UKVI until after we chased them... just after the 60-day point! Since then we have had 2 'your case has been escalated...' emails - as well as the standard 'not straightforward...' email - with no visible progress in between!

By comparison, that's actually not bad...

We waited a month for the return of documents and 6 weeks from online submission until receiving the confirmation email!
    Today is Day 92...

    Good luck.
