I've just argued with solicitor according to them they scan the documents there. It's becoming seriously stressful now.

    have a read of this

    https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/burma/p...settlement-visa-applicants-Lidpro-Egnlish.pdf

its the same with vfs manila. everything goes to sheffield now..except her passport. and her printed signed copy of the online application form vaf4.

its best if she sends all her documents to you---then add them to all your sponsorship documents--and send the whole bundle to sheffield--with a return stamped envelope big enough for their return.

or get your solicitor to do it--if he knows how to send a package.

To be honest, it sounds like you need to cut the solicitor out of things. Just because you've paid them doesn't mean it's in your best interests to continue using their services.

Of course their initial stance would be no refunds. You won't get a full refund, but if you tell them that you are reporting your displeasure at receiving factually inaccurate and poor advice to the Law Society, they will probably pay up to get rid of you.

Tell your partner to send all her documentation to you via FedEx, DHL etc and send this to Sheffield yourself with the reference and barcode attached to everything. Your partner will be fine attending the appointment in Manila with her passport and application form.

Pork Adobo is right. I had to do just that a few years back though this was a conveyancing service the solicitor was providing. Through the Law Society I was able to claw back some fees and some.

What is the point of paying them when you are stressing yourself pver the application? If they are inside the uk, you can argue your position and get a refund (even partial) for all the hassle ypu are currently going through.

They should know this stuff before they took you on.

My visa consultant wants everything sending to him ( in London ) and he will prepare and send to Sheffield. I agree about the solicitor, throwing more money would be wasteful and trusting them sounds more dangerous.

Thanks guys I've sorted the solicitor out. I won't be using them again tho.
    Anyways ..

    Just to clarify..

My documents are Tb test, IELTS exam, tenancy agreement, 12 months wage slips, 12 months bank statements, letter from landlord, accommodation report stating no over crowding, letter from employer saying my contracted hours, photos of us, wedding photos, flight doc of when I went there and how many times, western union receipts, what's app chats 6 months, emails from us both, personal statement,

Is there anything I'm missing ?

Also the TB test certificate says carry in her hand luggage to uk in case she gets asked to produce it by customs officer. But if i submit that to Sheffield how long before I get that back Bec she will have 30 days to get here and I'd have to send that back to her via dhl

kindly check the above link. She doesn't need the TB cert. If you really need it, you can wait for the HO to return it. They will send it back at the end of the application.

She only need her passport and the online application form with her and you send everything else to Sheffield.
