a funny thing happened today ,went to check my wifes application status about an hour ago got the same thing as usual number not recognised ( so fed up with seeing that every day) 10 minutes later my agency sent me a copy of an email they got today ..
    Dear Susan Bright ,
The processed visa application for GWF reference number - GWF044255171 was received at the UK Visa Application Centre on 8/24/2017 .
If a courier service was purchased from VFS Global, your processed application will be delivered to the chosen address.
If not, your documents can be collected during the designated passport collection times.

to me it looks like the decision is at vfs global in manila......my wife has had no text message, told her to go to vfs global tomorrow and see if its there , what do you all think ?.....working day 56 today ..whats the point of having a status report

we used an agency here in the uk ,thats where we sent my wifes documents from with a post paid to return to the agency , if her answer is awaiting at vfs global i wonder if the documents have been sent their as well ,as they havnt been returned to my agency ? does anyone know that its standard practice to send everything back to vfs global or should they have gone to my agent , the reason i ask is her tb certifficate is with the documents and she needs it to enter the uk

You do not need the TB certificate to enter the UK it will be on record, if you have it it's handy to carry but I don't know of anyone who has been asked to produce it.

Hi MrsDoyle, I'm sorry to hear it is taking this long for them to make a decision. It probably would best to ring them yourself. In my experience it is worth calling them, I know it can be costly but I remember when I was making a follow up regarding my application I've called them twice and asked them all questions I can think of. Calling is better than emailing them though because it takes ages for them to reply. As for the confidentiality, they are a bit funny when it comes to that. They may not be able to discuss the decision made but they will definitely give you information regarding your application and if it has been looked at or what not. In my case, it took 58 days (I think) of waiting for my application to be checked and only 2 days to make a decision. Hope that helps.

I hope you'll hear from them soon. Oh, if the GWF number don't work on the tracking site try using your IHS number. :)

Hi @dave bright, is it addressed to the agency? If it is, UKVI will sent her passport to the agency then the agency will post it to her. Mine took 10 working days. If your agency opted for her to pick it up at VFS Global, she'll get a text message or an email that it is ready for collection on the same day she got the message or the following day. I think.:)

As for the TB cert, they don't ask for it. The immigration officer just wants the passport with the vignette on it. I had all my documents ready and in order but they never asked for it. However, the IO asked me to wait for 5 minutes as he went to verify my VISA but other than that it went okay. Good luck and Congratulations in advance! :)

thanks for the info mrs oggy really handy to know ....my wife just picked up her passport she got her visa ..activation date 30th of august , have to wait a few more days before she can come home....we are so happy this is all over and we can get on with our lives ,its been a terrible wait been through so many emotions .been really tough being apart this long, the hardest bit is thinking our answer was going to be given in 10-15 working days then realizing we where in for a 3 month wait .
i cant help thinking of all you guys and girls going through how i was feeling in the past 3 months especially the ones who have been waiting far longer than me , i wish everybody here the best of luck and get the same decision as my wife
