Application for a transfer of conditions (TOC) and BRP

    I'm afraid you will have to pay the surcharge at your next extension to remain regardless of whether you are working or not.

    My wife had an operation yesterday which would have cost me up to £6k if we had gone private so at the end of the day the NHS surcharge is good value for unlimited treatment and unlimited cost :)

    Okay got it. My husband just swore on that one.

    Seems unfair when you think that a wife of an EU national here in the UK doesnt have to pay the surcharge, correct?

    I don't think any of us here would disagree with that statement, its unfair, something I hope the Government will address after Brexit.

    I know some MPs have actually brought this very issue up in the past but it fell on deaf ears :)
