Another valuable contribution is made from your ratings givers.

It is so funny that some people who give bad ratings to other members here have their noses pushed so far out of joint when they get a bad rating

This thread was the original thread that Mike started on the forum regards Covid.

I've just listened to a report of leaked documents from China indicating that it was indeed worse than reported at the start, exactly how much worse is not clear from the report but there is some indication that numbers reported on some days were half of reality, that does not change the totals all that much but I dare say more detailed info will come out shortly.

edit: I don't intend to resurrect the arguments towards the end of the thread I just feel that the appropriate place to raise this is where some members had expressed early doubts about the Chinese reported numbers.

China has a population 14 times the size of the UK. So i expect their covid death number to be the same factor. 750,000 .

No I don't expect that, my niece would be telling me if they had that kind of problem she lives there, they stamped it out because they are an authoritarian top down highly controlled state, China's numbers in proportionate terms will be close to those of their neighbours who got on top of the virus really early on.

China's lockdown left deserted streets deserted cities and was long enough to break all the transmission chains, that's how you do it, they chose to and they did it and clearly if they were, as it appears, hiding more than was initially supposed they would have been even more motivated to get it under control.
