I know I want and need those companies, but the point your missing is I am not protesting :D but I am the type of person who if I WAS a protestor would be an all or nothing ;) I wouldn't just rock up with my mates on the M25 and inconvenience a couple of families going to Heathrow or a guy delivering Warburton bread, they are easy targets.

In homage to climate change we were looking at flights this morning, because no direct Heathrow-Ottawa our emissions % is up, but flights are a little cheaper than usual :)

If not now then when, if not here then where? If not us then who? That was in 2012. This is 2021. One can begin to understand a little bit of urgency creeping in.

And in the words of a great Filipino tree hugging snowflake, “the time for talk is over”.

They are protesting against non-targets John, antagonising the general public and achieving nothing, are we even in the top 10 carbon emmiter? It's like when I used to meet Free Tibet activists in London, it achieved nothing.

I get your point. But maybe stuff like this will get people’s attention a bit more than a Filipino at a climate change conference a million miles from our shores.

It will ultimately be the general public that votes in the right government to change the climate change landscape in this country. Boris might not be the right guy.

    Raising awareness is important.

Maybe, but I doubt it, some of those protests have been local, and it angers people.

What’s your solution? Assuming you agree there is a problem.

I don't anguish over a problem that doesn't affect me today, tomorrow, or next week, I am just enjoying life to be 100% honest, we are all going to cross the river at sometime or another, I don't worry, I am not that sort of person.

And your children? Or your extended family in the Philippines where climate change is having a big impact?

I don’t worry too much as I live a few hundred feet off MSL . Those on the banks of the Thames won’t be so lucky.

I threw that in deliberately. :D It’s the reference point for offshore drilling activity so am used to using it in an everyday sense.

It is raising awareness though as Mrs Ash was asking what it was all about and the 8 yo joined in. So it’s having an impact…. :D
